Just replaced lamp and unable to reset lamp clock. Followed instructions in manual and it still wont reset. The projector sounds like it is trying to "boot" up but it just shuts down after about 30 secs giving me the blinking red lights again.

Whe the lamp exceeds 2100 hours (up to 3100 hours in ECO mode) of service, the projector cannot turn onand the menu is not displayed. If this happens, press the HELP button on the remote for 10 seconds to reset the lamp clock back to zero. When the lamp clock is reset to zero, the LAMP indicator goes out.
chances are its the projector itself that you are having an issue with, one more thing that you can do is for you to clean the filters, try cleaning the filters and try reinstalling the lamp, then power it back on, if you are getting the same thing still, have the projector service or if within warranty have it replaced. best i got. Thanks for using Fixya!
You don't need to put in your email address but you will need to type in the numbers. It come in a PDF format so you will need adobie acrobat to read the file. It should have instructions on how to reset the lamp hours.
very simple. remove the lamp door on the left side (looking from the front) using a flat head screwdriver. unplug the plug, and unscrew the 2 screws. pull the lamp out. put the new one in and reverse the instructions. piece of cake!
The owner's manual should have a troubleshooting chart that will indicate what the blinking lights mean. If the new bulb did not clear it, the problem may be the ballast (part that starts the bulb). Also, when you replaced the lamp, you should also reset the lamp timer. Some units will continue to indicate a lamp needing replacement until the counter is reset. The procedure for that should also be in the manual.
Hello David, The best way to find the best price is to do some hunting/research. Google "infocus 4805 lamp" and wade through to find the best price. You will find instructions on the lamp replacement procedure in the manual. If you dont have the user manual browse to www.projectorcentral.com and search infocus 4805 and on their spcifications page there is a "user manual" Acrobat PDF icon. click on the icon to open the manual in pdf format
