Question about WYSE S10 (90210501) Network Terminal

Wyse S10 Power UP issue after hung-up.

Dear experts,
As I have seen, a lot of people have the same problem as we do. We have Wyse s10 clients with the latest firmware installed and working. After some time, 3 of our clients hunged up during normal RDP process. We shut them down by keeping the power button pressed. After that, the power button color turned to orange and there is no way to recover them in normal operation.
Does anybody know what to do? We have shiped them to Wyse technical support center via RMA procedure. We have not got any news yet.
Any help apreciated.

Pull out the power cord for 5 minutes than put back in and turn on

Thin Clients Have a Problem Connecting After Activating Licensing


Try using the command "fixlicense=clean" (think thats how its spelt, check with Wyse) in the wnos.ini.

See if this allows the terminals to relinquish any old TS cal and pickup a new one from your licensing server.

Check in the BIOS, "Fireport" is the password. I cant remember if the power button behavior is set there or in the wnos.ini file.

You can check the config generator on technicalhelp.de to see if the command is in there for the wnos.ini

Depending on what keyboard you use, you may have to press the "F" toggle key to enable print screen.

Wyse S10 and Windows 2008 Terminal Services


The Wyse S10s require a firmware update to connect to Windows Server 2008. This is due to lack of support for RDP 6.1.

The update I've found to work best is 6.4.0.18.

The only way to get this update is to contact Wyse. However, I have deployed it on numerous clients (our entire base is S10s) and had great success.

Replacing C38 will fix the problem. It's a Lytics SMD Capacitor 47uF/10.3V.
