I had my TV cleaned and repaired and part the repair was a twisted yoke at least that is what the repair man said. It needs to be aligned again. I don't want to have someone come out to fix it. Is this something I can do? I didn't see what the repair man did but it seemed easy. Can anyone tell me what he turned to fix it?

Re: Red Projector is twisted
The yoke sits on the tube it will have a screw you have to turn to loosen, how ever there is high voltage in that area and i don't suggest getting in and moving it unless you know what your doing. you should mark it with a sharpie so you can get it back to where it was, there is also two tabs on the yoke that can be moved to adjust it.

That will be a matter of preference but I would replace it. The problem itself is caused by a lack of voltage, when the system gets hot the contacts separate decreasing the voltage in the case the ribbon as the repair man said to you above. not the ribbon itself but the ribbon carry's the voltage and can only carry whats there, in this case the contacts does not have proper contact.. ( I really hope that made sense).. Personally to prevent the inconvenience I would have repaired and sold it, and gotten a new one.
the yoke coil is very critical component of tv. it matches with the picture tube & the circuit. one can not replace with another kind of yoke. these yoke coils are very rare to get. i m so sad to say if it is not available you have to replace the whole tv.
the blinks are signaling how many circuits or transistors it is going through that are good letting you the 6th is the issues you will need to contact a tv repair man in order to have someone open it up and find what can be done about it
Symptom: Unit appears to have poor convergence due to: 1. cross hatch appears tilted 2. one color (or more) being larger than the others.
Cause: The yoke or yokes may have: (1) rotated slightly or (2) slipped down during transport.
Resolution: Loosen a yoke and lower to inspect the tape. If black tape is present remove it from under all yokes (white tape or no tape is OK). Slide yoke or yokes up tight against the CRT and tighten to prevent slipping or rotation. Precede with alignments and or convergence as necessary.
Check the Vertical output IC and the Solder connections on the Vertical deflection yokes. Bad solder on the yoke plug connectors will cause the same symptom, and the Vertical IC may just need to be resoldered as thats fairly common with that model.
Something is not right here. Is there any possibility that you can get the circuit designation (Rxxx) of the resistors that were "incorrect"? I am not aware of anything like this that can cause the "memory to be erased". The only memory in that area would be the factory convergence settings which can be modified from the service menu. Please try to supply the resistor IDs and I'll check on this.
here is the sulution to ure coror problem take the back of the tv off turn on the tv and look directly into the bulbs blue red and green most likely you will see that the bulbs look cloudy the liquid in the bulbs after time begains to grow a fungus in them u need to get some crestail crear projector bulb fluid take the bulb assembly out of the the tv there r 3 of then take a socket wrench and un screw the bulbs take after draning the curent fluid out therr is a drain plug on the bottom then dissasimble the bulb and clean the projector magnifine lens with windex and a lint free paper towls clean the gasket as well onces you get the filmy fungus out of the bulb make sure u do not touch the inside and get it dirty again put the bulb back together then fill it up with the new fluid make sure to tap out the bubbles then put the plug back on it a reinstall the bulb ONLY DO ONE BULB AT A TIME SO U MIX THEM UP reinstall the wireing to the board then do the next one once ur done u will need to fight with the alinment ajustment inside the tv and also in the programing also might have to set ur colar to if ur scared to do this a tv repair man charges about 350 to 450 $$$ to do trust me u can do it your self just be carfull dont get water on the motherboard
Man you may have a big mess on your hands the cooling fluid has probably gotten on a circuit board(s) and ruined it them and using the set with a cooling fluid leak is dangerous. You may need to replace the small signal board large signal board and the cooling fluid in the crt. I suggest this job to a pro
You may still have a convergence problem, but what you need to do is to make sure that all of the bias resistors have been checked. That is why I am against the old replace the STK392-110 catch all convergence repair line. However what I want you to do is actually troubleshoot this set. That will mean determining if the voltages on the convergence correction amplifiers are good, if the convergence coils are good and if the deflection yokes are good. You will need the schematic diagram to aid you with the task of troubleshooting along with a multimeter, and oscilloscope, and a signal generator. If you however do not have electronics experience, I would suggest taking the TV to a qualified TV repair shop. I know this might not be what you want to hear, but it is good advice.
