Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have a g on the top left hand side of my screen

the "g" on your nokia is an abbreviation for the acronym GPRS.....this stands for "General Packet Radio Service" and is the way the device access your service providers data service. You may either have a program running on your phone or it is possible that the settings are such to where the device is updating automatically. If you want it to stop the easiest way is to go the security menu on your device and disallow data service. Remember, if you dont have a data plan with your carrier then you will be charged by the number of packets sent and recieved in kbs.

Thanks for the Q and good luck!!!!!

Phone is not ringing out loud, even when recieving or dialling

hello there!! Thank you for using Fixya.com;

General packet radio service (GPRS) is a packet oriented mobile data service available to users of the 2G cellular communication systems global system for mobile communications (GSM), as well as in the 3G systems. In the 2G systems, GPRS provides data rates of 56-114 kbit/s.

GPRS data transfer is typically charged per megabyte of traffic transferred, while data communication via traditional circuit switching is billed per minute of connection time, independent of whether the user actually is using the capacity or is in an idle state. GPRS is a best-effort packet switched service, as opposed to circuit switching, where a certain quality of service (QoS) is guaranteed during the connection for non-mobile users.

This GPRS can be acquired from your Service or Network Provider and there will be a minimum charge of amount on this and it depends from the Provider. You may just need to use a Mobile which supports this kind of feature.

Little more info about GPRS:
Services
GPRS upgrades GSM data services providing:
If SMS over GPRS is used, an SMS transmission speed of about 30 SMS messages per minute may be achieved. This is much faster than using the ordinary SMS over GSM, whose SMS transmission speed is about 6 to 10 SMS messages per minute.

For more information, you may contact your Network Provider.

Have a nice day!!!

Imate jaq gprs and outlookmail settings

hi thanks for using fixya!!!

I really suggest if you can contact your Network Service Provider to send you the setting of your GPRS, they can send you over-the-air or you may call them or drop by to their offices and they can set it to you manually. It will be easier and will be more specific.

Hope it helps, if you need further, let me know.

Don't forget to rate my simple solution positively! thanks!
