Re: psp battery drains fast

Your Charger must not be getting enough electrical current from the outlet or there is something wrong with your charger. Try using another charger/outlet and seeif that works.

It may be that you overcharge the battery.

Hello fellow gamer :)

It sounds like your PSP may be damaged or the battery is not taking a full charge. If possible, can you try using an alternate battery? If this does not work, you may want to contact Sony for technical assistance.

I have seen PSP updates brick a PSP before and it has to be reset or fixed by Sony.

If it is under warranty I recommend calling them.

I charged my psp for atleast 5 hours.....but charge ended within 1 hour......what to do??

I'm just restating what you said here first...

You plugged in your psp for 5 hours.
You took it out.
You played it for 1 hour before it turned off...

If this is true, it seems that your battery just can't hold a charge. One solution would be to just buy a replacement battery, but you could try this...

Drain your psp completely. This means keeping it on until it turns off, then turn it on again, leave until off and so on. Just keep turning it on until it stays on for less than a minute.
Charge your battery overnight.

Hope this helps!!!

My PSP's not working. I haven't used it in 2-4 months. So I charged the PSP to about 1 bar of battery. Played on it till the battery ran out. Tried to charged it again but the light wouldn't light up and...

Have you tried removing the battery and run the PSP off the mains? If it works then, the battery may be faulty. You can get a new battery from most major retailers of games.

Psp wont charge, no usb. battery empty after last game.

believe it or not, if the psp works you can play it with out a battery using thee charger. Try that and see if it works at all. If it does then you may need to replace your battery, or leav it and let it charge for about 5-6 hours.

If it's 4 months old and it does not work at all you should still be under your manufacturer's warranty.

Directional Button and L Button Problem and another problem.

I think there might be a problem with your configuration, remove all plugin then try to restore to default setting on setting menu. and/or if your psp installed Custom firmware, the umd speed are set to fast. do this via recovery menu (hold R trigger while turn on psp). you may need to fix L button if it is stuck. you may consoder sending it back to Sony for repair. You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669. hope this helps.
