No its most likely a dead screen if you replaced the inverter already.

Why does screen go black after a few seconds

Hope this helps.... Your monitor has an inverter issue. You know it's an inverter problem when:
1. Your monitor starts normally and displays the startup/desktop screen for a while.
2. Then it suddenly goes off, leaving a blank (black) screen or a very dim display.

To fix this black screen problem, change the inverter board (based on your monitor brand).

My acer flat screen monitor thats brand new keeps going black on me

It sounds like the inverter is on the way out and hence the black screen. It needs that unit replaced. However if it was mine and new I would insist on a replacement monitor.

Replaced cracked display screen with new one and screen is black. System works with external monitor. Is there any drivers that need installed?

1. Test using an external monitor. If it works, then either the screen bulb or the inverter board might be defective.
2. Test the inverter. Easiest way to do it if you have a good screen with a good bulb. Connect the good screen to the inverter board & test it. If it lights up, then the inverter board is good. If it did not, then the inverter board is bad & needs to be replaced.
3. If the inverter board is good, then we are left with the possibility that the screen bulb is bad. To fix this, we will need to replace the LCD screen.

Acer Aspire 6530G black screen

Hi,
There's no point getting a crisis program if you cannot see the screen in the first place.
The problem could be anything from a faulty graphics, faulty motherboard or loose cable or inverter board.
To test this connect an external monitor to the laptop and use the keyboard toggle to switch screens (hold down Fn and press the F key that has a monitor icon on it)
If the external monitor has a display on it then the problem is the inverter, inverter cable or the screen itself which if faulty.
If there is no display on the external monitor you maybe looking at a new laptop.
If you have no external monitor to test then look very close at the laptop screen, if you can just make out an image then its the inverter.
Post back if you require any more assistance.

Regards.

Screen going black, green LED staying on

Check to see if the image is Dimmed. Chances are the power supply on the FPD is either dead or not supplying power to the back lights.
Your problem is the power supply or the inverter on your board, you can replace it and it will be fixed.
Easy Fix REALLY EASY FIX
(inverter is what supplies power to your backlights. A lot of the times the reason a monitor goes black and the green power button is on, is because the backlights shut off. in most designs of the 1730 the inverter is embedded on the power supply. That is most often the case on this problem. Power supply/Inverter=Replace it and you will have a spanking new looking nice monitor working again. :)

How to aply?

When a lcd monitor has a black screen the inverter is usall bad. Some have a individual inverter and others have a combination Inverter power supply. Capacitors are usally the first thing to check as well as fuses. Usally labeled starting with a F.

Aspire 5102 WLMi display replacement

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
