Question about Pinnacle SYSTEMS Dazzle Video Creator Platinum ( Windows )

Open Question

Pinnacle Studio 11 and Dazzle Video Creator 9

I changed fromWindows Xp to windows vista and as my studio was not compatible with windows vista, I had to upgrade to Studio 11. The third problem have is that my sony dv recorder is also not compatible with windows vista and I have been advised by sony that I must use a firewire with a movie making programme. I have purchased both, but am having great trouble getting the connection to work so that I can capture video. I really cannot figure out what I am doing wrong,
thanks, Joan

From the looks of it there's no Vista support yet. Pinnacle Systems needs to come out with somekind of patch soon. I've been looking for an hour as well. Couldn't find anything but people discussing the fact that they need the patch badly. On the Pinnacle site there's a link to software for Dazzle Video Creator 9 but it leads to an error page.

I guess you'll have to watch carefully when an update arrives.
Or try to find something of an automatic update feature in the software, maybe it'll find something.

You can try simpler programs such as Windows Movie Maker but I don't think it suits your needs when you want to edit stuff.

Another solution might be Sony Vegas.

I hope this will help you out. It's really frustrating that you buy software and then you can't use it on Vista.

DarkNeogen.

No I can't see any evdence that suggest that it is Vista ready, actually it is considered redundent and hence no patch will be made to upgrade studio 9 vers. ie

Note: The following products are end of life, they will not run with Windows Vista and there will be no Windows Vista compliant software

  • Studio products which came with Studio 1, 7,8 and 9. Please visit our eStore to purchase an Upgrade to Studio 10:
  • PCTV products which came with the " Vision" or Pinnacle MediaCenter V.1 or V.2 software. Please visit our eStore to purchase an Upgrade to Pinnacle MediaCenter 4:
  • Products which came with Adobe Premiere, like DV 500, ProOne etc.
  • Instant CD/DVD, Instant Copy Version 7 and 8
  • ShowCenter 1000 b/g

So I guess you need to purchase software ie Studio v.11

I just purchased an Dazzle HD.. and it came with pinnacle studio 14, I downloaded pinnacle and i have the dazzle hooked up right and where it is supposed to show my screen it just has the pinnacle studio...

It requires at least  DirectX┬« 9 or 10 compatible graphics card with 64 MB (128 MB or higher recommended) to run and if it doesn't meet the requirement s it wont have the support it needs to run. Check this website against your computers specs.  http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Dazzle/Dazzle+Video+Archiving/Dazzle+Video+Creator+Plus+HD.htm

The Pinnacle Studio which worked on Windows XP does not work on Window 7. What upgrade software should i get?

I think the best option for you is to Upgrade to Pinnacle Studio 14 which is $0, or Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate, which costs $70. An upgrade is cheaper than buying the entire version which will cost you about $130. The upgrade will work with Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2), Windows XP (SP3).

On the other hand, if a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues, you can right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. This will make it run as if it was running in Windows XP. You can find more about this Compatibility issue on Microsoft website: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

I have Pinnacle Studio HD 14 and it comes with a tool called AMCAP which allows you to record footage off a video game console through a capture card. My capture card is Dazzle Video Creator platinum...

hello, my name is Adam, i am going to try and solve your problem, to do this all you need to do is start recording with your dazzle through pinnacle studio, then open up amcap, here I might be a little sketchy as I do not have the best memory, but at the top I think it sais something like capture, click on that, then at the bottom it should say like options or something, then when you click on that there should be a little drop down menu with different things such as NTSC and Secam, you want to choose the one saying Secam_B, once you have done that minimize amcap and then you should be recording in colour in pinnacle studio. Although you have to do this everytime you start recording which is the down side, need any more help? send me a message on msn, my msn is captain_night195@hotmail.co.uk

Pinnacle Studio 10 DVD -NTSC Bonus disc

The installer for Studio 12 (upgrade version) includes a "Transfer Files" option which permits you to install previous bonus discs from Studio 10 and 11 and transfer to 12. However, you have install 12 first (of course).

For those with Vista 64bit systems, Studio 10 will not install on your Vista 64bit OS pc. However, if you have the Studio 10 disc, you can purchase the Studio 12 upgrade version. During the installment process, you will be directed on how to utilize the Studio 10 disc to advance the installation process.

Pinnacle studio v 9 not compatible with windows vista?

Only version 10 (and higher) is supported for Windows Vista.

They have pretty good deal going on for upgrades. I think you can upgrade to version 11 for $58.00
