After unlocking your HTC One, look right above the HTC logo on the bottom center of the phone face. Right above it is a square of nine white squares. Touch that square. Now, you'll see a list of ALL applications installed. That list can be sorted in multiple ways. To sort alphabetically, touch and hold anywhere on that screen of icons and pull down a bit. A menu will appear on the screen allowing you to select to sort alphabetically.. Once that's done, look for the Messages icon.
Touch and hold the icon. At the top of the screen a new menu will appear. While still holding the icon, drag it up to the word :Shortcut". The menu will disappear and your desktop will be available to drop the icon onto. If there is room, it'll now be on your desktop (once you let go). If there isn't room, while still holding, drag it to the left or right side to change desktop pages. Locate a page that has room, and let go. The icon will then be on that page. If you have no room, then you'll have to create a new page. If you do need more pages, repost for that instruction.

Sometimes the most important thing about the phone is applications.
The LG Chocolate Touch, which works on the Verizon network, you can download a
variety of applications at different prices through the Verizon store media.
The hardest part to get new applications is to find out what you want, taking
into account all the different categories and available applications. However,
the actual process of downloading an application is simple and straightforward.

1. Unlock LG Chocolate Touch. To unlock the phone with your
finger to the "Slide" icon above. The "Slide" icon in the
shape of an arrow.

2. Tap the "Menu" icon with your finger.
"Menu" icon to the bottom of the screen and four white spots on a blue
square.

3. Touch the "Media Center" icon. On the Home
screen, the Media Center is the middle icon on the second line from the top.

4. Tap the "Browse & Download". Tap on
"Get new applications."

5. Scroll through the available applications and application
categories. Touch the category you want to open.

6. Tap the application you want to download.

7. Select the pricing plan you want. Many applications in
the Verizon store when they have different tariff plans. For example, pay more
for an application you unlimited access to and less than an application that
you can use just a month.

8. Tap "Yes" when asked whether to continue
downloading. When you tap "Yes", the application will start the
download, and your account will be charged.
my vairy touch ll, always bad reception, the music isnt loud enough, the alarm has a mind of its own and most importantly the touchscreen plays up every so ofter, no matter how much times you take the battery out and try to clean it, it never works... I sugest giving that phone to charity or selling it to buy a new one but that's if anyones dumb enough to buy it off of you.
for window phones 1. Press the "Home" key and press "Start." Use the directional pad to highlight "Settings," then press the center or "Enter" button. 2. Use the directional pad to select the System tab. Select "Screen," then press the center or "Enter" button. Select "Align Screen." 3. Using your smartphone's stylus, tap the crosshairs as they appear on your screen. Do this for as many as appear, until the calibration tool finishes. Your screen is now properly calibrated. for Android phone 4. Press the "Home" button or capacitive area, then press "Menu." Tap "Settings." 5. Tap "Language and keyboard." Tap "Keyboard settings." Tap "Tutorial" and go through the steps that appear on your screen. 6. Once this is finished, turn your phone off and on again. Your keyboard has been adjusted, which activates a re-calibration of the capacitive touchscreen. (Capacitive screens are technically far more accurate that resistive, and so a full calibration tool is not included with Android phones.)
Sidkekick 3 stops booting with the 4 Danger icons on a white screen
1) Remove the battery from your device
2) Flip open the screen
3) with the battery removed, press and hold the W key on the keyboard. Press and hold it and don't let go until I say so. :)
4) Put the battery in (you're still holding "W" right? Good). This is a little tricky to do but you can do it.
5) Keep holding W! :)
6) The device will boot to a screen that has a picture of a SK with Xs
for eyes and stars spinning around it's head, like it's been clonked on
the head. When you see this, you can let go of the "W" key.
7) After a few more seconds you'll see a screen that says "Sorry!
Please restart your device by selecting the Reboot button. If this
screen appears again, contact Customer Care."
8) Click the Reboot button on the screen, and hope for the best.
This *might* fix your problem. If it doesn't, there's no point in
repeating the steps, just call customer care and have them replace your
device. However, a lot of times I've seen an SK3 stuck on that screen,
those steps above will fix it.
It's not a workaround, it's a fix. If that fixes it you won't have to
worry about your device having a problem, because it won't have a
The only thing this "fix" will help with is if your device stops
booting with the 4 Danger icons on a white screen. That's it. It won't
do any other magical fix for any other problem. It's really *not* worth
the time and hassle to try to use this trick to fix anything else,
because if your device boots at *all* past those 4 icons, then this
fix, she will do nothing. :)

For an easy fix for the browser, just do the following:
1. Options –> Advanced Options –> Host Routing Tables.
2. In this screen you may see several entries, ignore the others and highlight the bold entry.
3. Wheel-click and select ‘Register Now’.
4. Close the screen and go back to the Home Screen. Give about 30 seconds for your browser to reappear.
If that doesnt solve your problem, feel free to comment here and i will surely help you.
For Alert of the text messages,
"Profiles" should be an icon(Like a speaker) in the main screen. Go through your icons and find it. Click it. then scroll down to "advanced." Then highlight the profile you want to edit/modify and then hit "menu key" and then edit. Then scroll to SMS and change the tune.
Dont forget to save before you exit.
