Droid Eris won't play videos sent from other phones.

Hey, I am sorry but the HTC DROID ERIS is a CDMA phone and not a GSM phone which means that it will not work on any GSM network worldwide. GSM networks use SIM cards whereas CDMA networks do not use sim cards. This phone is a CDMA phone means it works without a sim card and will not have a slot for you sim card. a list of specifications for theHTC DROID ERIS is available here

i have htc droid eris verizon cdma usa handset , it doesnt have a sim slot in it, i would like to use it in india for reliance, network, is it possible to unlock and use it in india, it is having s.n number and meid 14 digit number

I'm having the same exact problem and I tried resetting it. No luck. Did you get it fixed?

If you don't have it, I recomend the Advanced Task Killer App. It force closes any program running in the background making things run more smoothly.

HTC will help you with this because it is so new. However if you dropped it (etc.) and if HTC doesn't replace it for you, You can get the part at HTC Eris Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the part at HTC Repair Guide.

droid eris does not have a sim holder as it is exclusively locked to verizon and because verizon is not a GSM provider, you cant use droid eris with sim.
