Question about JVC GR-D270 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Over the weekend, while trying to record, the display message said something about running a leaning cassette. So I went an bought one, but it did not work. When I play a tape, is has a series of black stripes, horizontal across the screen. The unit is just over a year old, and not used much at all. We take good care of it, keeping it out of extreme conditions and never wet. Do you have any suggestions? When trying to record all you can see is horizontal greyish-black bars on the screen. It can play old tapes and it's displayed on the screen just fine, but the newly recorded images play as the horizontal bars. I have the same problem on my JVC GR-D270U Digital Video Camera. During record the view-finder is fine...but during playback there are 5 horizontal bars across the screen. I've tried head cleaning tapes but that didn't fix problem. I also tried other tapes - same problem... Any ideas
Tape guides are out of adjustment, need to have brought in for service.
