Remote not talking to console

Just got a Wii. when trying to set it up I cannot get past language. Have tried resyncing it several times, still no seeming communication between remote and console. New batteries installed. Couyld the remote be bad?

Are you sure you are syncing it correctly? That is by pressing the red button on the Wii its self then the red button under the battery case in the Wiimote.

If your remote is giving out and not allowing you to continue , then yes it could be bad..

But, its hard to tell since you just got the system and the new remote is already bad?

If its not staying in sync, then I would try a different remote before thinking any repair options

No comunacation with remote

Try to resync your Nintendo Wii remote by removing the battery cover on the back and by pressing the red 'SYNC' button. Then afterwards press the SYNC button on the Wii console. If these steps and tips do not work, remove the batteries of the Wii Remote and leave them out for at least 5 minutes. Reinsert the batteries into the controller and try to sync the Wii Remote again. It could also mean that the batteries have stop working and need to be replaced.

2nd Wii remote not recognised when reconnecting to add player 2 on Donkey Kong. Player 2 LED comes on when resync completes but goes off when game starts.

You said when if the game starts the controller goes off.try holding the sync button on the wii console for 15-20 seconds then resync all controllers. If it doesn't work try this:Start the donkey kong game then press the home button then go to the wii remote settings it has an icon of a remote then after you enter it find the reconnect then press 1-2 simultaneously to select who is the first player. If it doesn't work try resynchronizing it as the first controller.Hope this helps.

Well wen i try to acsses the wii the remote wont turn on and go to 1 player

1) Double check the batteries
2) Try resyncing the remote with the wii console. You can do this by taking off the battery cover on the remote, and opening up the slot on the wii. They both have a colored button that you can try pressing to resync the remote to the correct wii.

My handsets wont sincronise with the system, I have fitted new batteries

Follow this procedure:
1. Turn the Wii console on and wait until the "Health & Safety" screen appears (don't press A).
2. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, just below the disc drive, and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15 seconds. This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console.
3. Resync the Wii Remote by removing the battery cover and pressing the red "SYNC" button. Do this for all Wii Remotes you wish to use, and test for proper response.
4. If the steps above do not work, remove the batteries of the Wii Remote and leave them out for at least 2 or 3 minutes. Reinsert the batteries and sync the Wii Remote again. Test for proper response.
If after removing the batteries for several minutes, and resyncing the Wii Remote, your still unable to get the Wii Remotes to work, try syncing another Wii Remote if available.
* If another Wii Remote works, then your previous Wii Remote will need to be repaired.
* If multiple Wii Remotes do not work, or you only have one Wii Remote, a repair of the Wii console is necessary.
