See manual at: http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/7034twcit/manual.pdf
the hand sign means that with your current settings, the camera predicts that you will not be able to hold it still long enough, your flash might be in a mode where it does not flash or not very brightly, look in your manual for flash settings, then max the flash out on your camera
If you need our help, please be clear. I for one have no ideal what you're talking about.
Try these steps;
Name of flash? Model of flash? What camera will this be attached onto, by Hot Shoe or PC? Trouble or problem that you're having when using this flash. Using reg. batteries or rechargeable and so on.
What is "popped something in my flash...?" Only studio bulb popped if they are rated 1000ws and higher on max discharged, not four AA batteries flash. You can hear when the studio flash goes off within 5 feet.
Maybe we can help you to fix your flash by yourself. You'll be our hands.
