Re: camra memory card says write protect

My camera had the same thing. when i turned it on one day the write protect message was on and i had no idea how.
i ended up just uploading all my images to my computer, then formating the memory card through the cameras settings.
now it works fine.
other memory cards and cameras might be diferent, i have a 2gig card in the shockproof camera

Re: camra memory card says write protect

Same here. So just simply changing the card makes the message go away?

Look at your memory card it may have a small switch to protect pictures from being erased or changed. Download what you have taken and reformat card.

I took pictures without the memory card in the

Your camera came with a cable to plug into your PC...or at least it should have. If you don't have one, pick one up at and electronics store. Then you will probably need to download the software in order to copy directly from the camera...get it here:

Cant unlock a picture

If you want them to be permanently deleted you can format the memory card and this will clear the card of all data. If you just want these certain images deleted then you need to be in Playback mode - press the Menu button - go to Playback menu and press Ok - then choose the key option and turn it from ON to OFF. This will remove the lock and allow you to erase the selected image.
