Low Mic Volume

1.Unplug anything plugged into the headset jack.
2.If you're on a call and holding your phone next to your ear, speak into the microphone and make sure you don't block it with your fingers or shoulder.
3.If you're using a screen protector or case that covers the microphone, remove it. Clear any debris from the microphones.
4.Restart your device.
5.Update to the latest version of iOS.

Test the microphone
To find out if there is an issue with the microphone itself-and not the app you're using or your cellular connection-test the microphone with the built-in Voice Memos app. Speak into the microphone and then play back the recording. You should be able to hear your voice clearly.

*If you can't hear your own voice the microphone is not working properly, you should replace the piece of hardware.

• Headset is muted. Long press (3 sec.) the volume down button on headset to unmute the microphone. See page 16.
• Improper positioning of voice tube. Try various other positions.
• Voice tube may be clogged. Remove voice tube and test to see if callers can hear you without it. If they can, then replace the clogged voice tube. See page 18.
• Speaking volume is too low. Increase the speaking volume by
adjusting the speaking volume minor adjust buttons on the base unit as described on page 16. If the volume is still too low, select another speaking volume major adjust setting as described on page 16.
• Incorrect configuration dial setting for your phone. Try other
phone configuration dial settings on the base unit. Ensure the
selected number is in line with the position indicator. See page 14.

It seems that there's a failure with the microphone or you have something blocking it physically, i.e. skin covers o cases, if the mic is failing you should take it to an authorized service center for repair.

No. The aux audio level input is much higher than the microphone output (about 100 times). That's why when you connect the microphone at the aux input (assuming that you have the right jack adaptors) your voice can't be heared ty the speakers (in fact if you scream or speak loudly at the microphone it's possible to hear something in very low volume from the speakers). But there is a solution. If you desperetely need that function, you can buy a "microphone preamplifier", that's the way you can ask for, at your local market.

Check which microphone device u have set up. Try changing it around. Also try just speaking closer to the microphone and into the mic. Some mics just are not good.

On the side of the phone there are two arrows, one stands for plus volume, the other stands for Minus volume... Try It!!!

Check the connection on the back of your case as there are two very similiar in color ports that can be confused. Make sure you have it plugged into the one with the mike picture.

the phone's Microphone or Microphone IC is faulty. replace the Mic its under this place. or even just clean it maybe some dust would defect it.

If they can hear your breathing that means that you are not speaking in to the microphone, do a microphone test on the computer and see if you hear your own voice. If you don't the program that your using is set to use wrong sound input and the settings will have to be changed.

What program do you use to speak with others?

by default the playback of your voice is muted. next to your clock theres the sound speaker icon click on it, you should see microphone somewhere there, if you dont press settings from the toolbar and then properties

then on the playback make sure there is a X on microphone.

then click ok, now check is the microphone muted? unmute it and speak to the microphone you should hear your own voice played back instantly from the speakers.
