Hi there,
Just a couple of questions that might help you solve your problem..
- Have you already installed the sound driver of your motherboard/sound card?
- Have you properly inserted the right color/jack of your headset to the computer?
- Have you check the volume control of the headset whether it is in mute or full volume?

If you have tried the above questions then you might have a defective headset.

To test if it is working, try playing some music & the sound recorder for you mic.

No voice chat in Yahoomessenger

open controller panel to the left click on classic view--if already on classic view the open the "sound" icon click the record tab look for the logitech mic -right click and set as default-reboot the pc and log into yahoo again and try the sound. if no logitech mic is detected under the record tab then headset may not loaded correctly check the device manager for any device that is not loaded.
right click and update it.

No mic in game

You need to make sure your headset is set to the default device on the Voice tab of Sounds and Audio Devices Properties which can be accessed through the control panel.

  • Control panel
  • Sounds and audio devices
  • Advanced (Under "Device Volume")
  • Options
  • Check Advanced controls
  • On same drop down menu click Properties
  • Under "Show following volume controls" check Microphone
  • Microphone volume control should appear
  • Uncheck "Mute" below mic volume control
  • Move slider up

Now also do this:
  • Control Panel
  • Sounds and audio devices
  • Audio
  • Under "Sound recording" select device in which you've plugged in your microphone
  • Voice
  • Under "Voice recording" select device in which you've plugged in your microphone
  • *If you're not sure in what you've plugged in your mic than select "Test Hardware" under "Voice recording".*
  • Click Apply, click OK

Mic is not recognized

Just had the same problem occur on a laptop with same mic. Did the exact same thing yours did, I turned the mic boost on and ran the hardware test three or four times and it finally picked it up. Hope this helps.

Microphone does not pick up voice

I am sorry to say but I think that perhaps your Microphone is faulty? These headset leads are notorious for breaking. If you know how to use a meter, perhaps you could check the circuit, and "see" if there is a Microphone attached? Could you "Test" it on another PC? But if this isn't the case below are some helpful links.. I "Googled" this --->troubleshooting microphone problems xp?
