Yeah it sounds like the bearings are shot. dryers run at high temps. that takes a toll on the parts. check the belt also it might need replacing too. my dryer has guide pins that the barrel rolls on. one of those broke. its not fun going to the laundrymat.

Get stains on clothes after been washed.. noticed on new white shirts

what kind of stains like rust color.if yes you need to call a service technician to clean the unit, not an ordinary cleaning we need to dismantle the unit to replace the oil seal and bearing if worn out,but some is just for cleaning, some unit also stains came from the liquid softener, try the cycle wash and put the heater is high level to melt some liquid softener, try for 3 time without cloth inside if this is ok after that cycle no need to call technician,do it every month as a maintainance

My washer is leaving discolored stains on my clothes. it shows up most prominently on whites, they almost look like shadow stains, but they're getting worse. what is causing this?

If this is a top load machine, you have a bad tub bearing. This will cause your clothes to have what looks like rust stains on them. It's actually grease form the bearing. It can be replaced and I would rate it a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest.

This is greasy rust. It's not uncommon. Whats causing it is a bad tub bearing. I rate replacing it a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the hardest.

Rust in Kenmore washed clothes

Sounds like you have a bad drum bearing. I would guess that it's grees rather than rust although it will look like rust.

Dryer makes a squeaking noise

If your dryer is noisy, check these:

Idler pulley
Rear drum bearing
Blower wheel
Rollers Many dryers use rollers or wheels to support the clothes drum. When these rollers are worn, they can be noisy. You should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time.

Idler pulley Dryers have a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it.

Glides Many dryers use nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn, they can be noisy. When that happens, replace them.

Rear drum bearing Some dryers support the clothes drum in the rear with a center spindle instead of rollers. The spindle may be a ball-and-socket type support or a shaft through a sleeve. When the components are worn, they may squeak, squeal, or rub. You can't repair them. Just replace them when they're worn.

Blower wheel Your dryer's blower wheel pulls air over the heat source, through the clothes drum, and past the thermostats, then pushes it out the exhaust duct. The blower wheel, which is usually plastic, may wear out over time. But if it's noisy, it may simply be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you probably need to replace it.

Dark brown stains

Try running a cycle on hot with 1/2 cup dishwasher detergent (powdered) in it. Stop it before it pumps it out and restart again, Do this a few times to get a long scrub action. I don't think its oil as a front load machine doesn't have a transmission. If you think this is a rust stain use a rust remover type product instead of dishwasher detergent.

Wasing machine leaves rust spots on clothes.

check the basket of the machine for rust spots on the basket if thats the case the basket should have a 10 year warranty depending on the age marks are either caused from that or the dryer. if its frigidaire the dryer then the front seals probably need to be changed make sure to find out exactly which machine its coming from
