I bought my C530 in December. In April, it would turn on, go to the Garmin screen with the model #, and then go blank. I left it plugged in to my car, and it still does not stay turned on. Is there a hidden battery in this unit?
Now this is weird. As I am typing this, in my house, I started the unit up, & it works OK. Why will it not work when it is plugged in to my car?I bought my C530 in December. I've just experienced the same issue. I spoke with a Garmin tech about this and explained that I had also tried using the reset button, several different outlets, and the USB cable. The tech seemed very familiar with this issue and immediately recommended that I download the most recent software update from their website, then leave the unit unplugged for 24 - 48 hours to fully discharge the battery. He claimed that the unit was actually on, but a software glitch prevented both the reset and power buttons from functioning and also prevented anything from being displayed on the screen. He suggested that once the battery has completely drained, it will power up again when plugged into the USB port of your computer. The software update is said to help prevent the problem from recurring. I am still waiting for the battery to discharge so I have been unable to get this fix to work for myself yet.

Due to this phone being 8 years old, the battery may be completely dead and non-rechargeable.
You can try plugging it in and turning it to see if it turns on. If it does, but shuts off when unplugged from power, then you know the battery is dead.
I would first suggest that you disassemble it to make sure all water is out. You will find an instructional video for disassembling this shaver at shaveroutlet.com. See link below
I would recommend having the charger checked for good electrical flow and I would also have the rechargeable battery inside the watch checked. Even capacitors need to be replaced every so often because they just get wore out. Also, be sure that you arent exposing your charger or watch to extreme temperatures as this will cause problems.

If it won't start, try connecting it to your computer and see if you can get a firmware update to turn it on. Otherwise I would send it into garmin since there aren't replaceable parts for consumers.
That can be a problem with charging part of the unit or the unit is completely dead, if its still under warranty you can try to replace it from the manufacturer..
The battery was completely dead. I must not have had the cord plugged in to my lighter, or maybe it wasn't sitting properly on the cradle, and it was running on battery power. I found that when I charged it by the computer, it was ok. It is working with no problems, now.
Your battery is dead. You'll need to return it to Garmin for repairs. Mine did the exact same thing. Functioned fine in the cradle - showed full battery - but shut off immediately upon removal. They know about the problem and shipped me a new unit for free.
There is an ISSUE with the DEAD ZUMO, however some of the are solved, and some need to be shipped back.
There are a couple of options.
1) remove the battery, keep power button pressed for a few minutes. install battery, try.
2) fully recharge the battery with the wall charger, try
3) With a fully charged battery, press and hold the + button and press the power button(hard reset).
4) hold thumb firmly on top left of touch screen and hold power button till it switches on(hard reset).
5) Try a different battery (fully charged)
6) Ship it to Garmin
