Question about Maytag Admiral LER3330AAW / LER3330AAZ / LER3330AAB Electric Kitchen Range
After locking the oven door and running the self cleaning. I cannot get the oven door to unlatch. When I close the lever to lock it, the door locks but remains latched when I move the lever back. Something is not moving to totally unlock the door.
There is an automatic lock feature on this unit that after 1 hour will unlock itself.
hope that helps!

Hey there gcato1, your problem is actually a protective feature designed to prevent you from getting burned. The self cleaning feature runs at extremely hot temps. Until the temperature reaches a safe level, the oven door will remain latched. Be patient and the problem will solve itself.
