Question about Wacom Graphire4 6x8

My tablet worked for a while, then it died.

For a while, while I was using my tablet, it would turn on and off. Now whenever I plug my tablet in, it doesn't show up as a device, and the light doesnt turn on. I've tried it in other USB ports, even on different computers. I've tried other USB devices in the same ports, and they all work.

You can probably buy a replacement usb cord/cable from wacom. not sure if it's pluged inside or soldered. if you need to solder it - any usb cable will do it... just find a tech savvy friend or technician to do it.

My Genius Easypen i405x cannot detect and sense pen pressure

I had the same problem. I have been using Win7. The solution is very simple: Uninstall your genius driver, restart your computer. Plug in the tablet, now the Windows should detect your tablet, wait a minute while the new drivers is installed. And from now it should work. Sorry for my English.

Tablet's pressure sensitivity died

I've had this happen to me before. Genius tablets are not the best for this sort of thing!

Here's what I did:
  1. Unplug the cable
  2. Remove the Genius drivers and software
  3. Download and install the newest drivers from Genius
  4. Plug in via USB
  5. Test
You can also try a different USB port, but I do suggest removing old drivers first.

My wacom tablet blinked and died...

My english sucks so translate from spanish:

Y LISTO!

now I'll try to say the same in english
I've got a Wacom Intuos3 USB. Someday, the tablet doesn't work, the blue light blinked and then turned off each time I connected the tablet to the pc. In a forum on internet explained how recalibrate the tablet, but this is not the real solution. The cable in its tablet side were broken inside, so I peeled the cable and finded one broken wire. I patched it with another piece of wire and voila, the tablet came back to life!

I hope this help you

Intuos tablet keeps fading out

If ur wacom has a touch pad for scrolling, i've found that touching it briefly wakes up the wacom.... but apart from that, it is very annoying how it keeps fading off like that.

Cannot use tablet

I had that problem and I found two things that may cause it:

1- Installing the cable at a USB port otherthan the port you used the first time, which would lead to conflict - Try restarting your computer

2- Try removing the driver, restart computer and re-install it again.

Wacom Graphire 4 Silver 6x8 CTE 640 Driver Problem in Windows 7 and Vista A few weeks ago I had just ended my streak of using Windows XP (Reinstalling it just about every month) for quite a few years. I have been using my Wacom Graphire 4 6x8 (Model: CTE-640) pen tablet for 3 or 4 years flawlessly with the same Windows XP drivers that came on a disk with the product. Now that I'm using Windows 7 with and have the correct Windows Vista drivers for this tablet, I'm running into a problem. When I install the Windows Vista drivers, at first the tablet is fully functional and working properly in every way, but after a single restart, the use of the pen is mapped at an incorrect space starting at the top left corner of the screen and the tablet mouse just locks at the top left corner completely, almost as if I'm holding the pen at the top left pixel and trying to move the mouse, which results in nothing but a constant refresh of the mouse's position at the very top left pixel on the screen. When I reinstall the Wacom pen tablet Vista drivers, the tablet then works until I restart, and the cycle repeats. The problem first emerged after I used the tablet on a different PC that had Windows XP set on a resolution that had a wide screen aspect ratio (16:9). The reason I mention this is because it ONLY started happening after this one usage, and the incorrect mapping is also at a widescreen aspect ratio that looks a lot like the 16:9 aspect ratio on the Windows XP machine I was using it on. At first I figured that this is just another Vista compatibility issue with their drivers, but then started leaning toward the fact that it could be a firmware issue (if it has some sort of firmware) in the pen tablet itself, since the only time that this tablet had been used with a 16:9 aspect ratio was just before the problem had started. Maybe that's why it's not mapping correctly? Anyways, any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. If you need me to clarify/add any information about the problem, just ask. Thanks in advance! - CheeseKeg.
