I have 2 of these 12" running in a Large slot ported box with an:
"Ultra Linear UL2402"
600RMS X 2 @ 4Ohm (Stereo) 1200RMS X 2 @ 2Ohm (Stereo) 2400RMS X 1 @ 2Ohm (Mono)
Can be run in Tri-mode with 3 8Ohm subs, which these subs are. I have not tried this mode. This is
600RMS X 2 @ 4Ohm = Max RMS of your subs. You should run the max of your subs, less wear on the amp you are using , and i doubt you will ever need to turn it up far before it blows out your trunk or window :P
1200RMS X 2 @ 2Ohm = Blown Subs!
Has 4 x 25amp fuses, most will tell you this only has an RMS of around 845, an "ultra linear circuit" produces twice the output power over Modern amps.
Can had on Ebay for around $100. I bought mine for $101.
This Amp pounds, i could quickly tell a difference going from 300RMS X 2 @ 4Ohm with a Kenwood amp. I Had to turn all my settings down on the new amp to have a better balance in sound.

What size wire should i have for two 12 volfenhag subs

I would use 10 to 12 gauge wiring. As fare as your amp's fuse...Check to make sure you are using the correct amp fuse. Make sure your subs are wired to a ohm load your amp is stable with. Check your ground and positive connections. Check and make sure your amp's gain settings are correctly set. Your amp's gain should not be turned all the way up.

I need to know how many ohms this speaker should measure on my digital volt/ohm meter, i'm getting 2.1 and 2.4 ohms.

hi
You speaker is dual coil one. Each coil have an impedance of 4 ohms. When these coils are connected in parallel then the ohms will be 2 ohms and in serial it will be 8 ohms. slight variations will show in digital multimeter when you measure the ohms. use the lovest ohms range in you meter to measure the coil impedance.
ok

How to wire the dual voicecoil

if you have a 2 channel amp, just wire each coil to each channel....If its a mono amp or you are bridging amp, hook up one channel like usual (+ and -) then use a jumper wire from the positive to the other positive on the speaker and do the same for the negative....

Manual for 12" 1000w Valfenhag Subwoofer

Unfortunately there are no manuals for subwoofers as far as I know. For optimal performance there is really only one size for the box .Firstly, you get two different types of subwoofers, an open air, or closed air sub. If it is an open air sub ( hole with mesh in the center of the magnet) no ports are required, and the box should be sealed on the inside with silicone sealant. If it is a closed air sub ( no hole in the magnet) you need a 50mm port about 120mm long. Box size will be 13 inches x 13 inches x 13 inches

Wiring solution

It's usually called wiring the woofer in parallel. Another "avenue" if you wanted to would be to run the coils to two different amps. In most cases, this is done in SPL competitions. It's not needed for normal wear and tear. Parallel is when you basically combine the two voice coils into one input. The thing you have to watch out for is your ohm load on the amp. if you go lower than what the amp is rated at, it will get hot, and shut down, otherwise known as going into protection. Make sure you're good there, wire in parallel if you want, and let her bump.

Best way to connect a 15'' kicker cvr15 4 ohm dvc [single sealed box] and a volfenhag zx-4712 1000w 12'' 4ohm+4ohm dvc to my pyle 885 1000w 4 ch. bridgeable amp and how to wire the voice coils that are in...

best way is to just run the volfenhag with a set of wires for 2 channells(one set per coil) left and right @ 4 ohms per channell. The CVRs you can parallel the coils(2 ohms) and run a set from each sub to the amp in stereo left and right. This will give the kickers a little more juice than the 12 but should be fine.

If you have an amp thats mono block with 1 channel but two positives and two negatives what is the best way to hook it up for two 12in.

The fact that there are 2 output terminal sets are simply for convenience. You need to know your amps ratings, but it is probably rated to handle 2 ohms. In this case, (assuming your 2 speakers are single coil 4 oh,s each) just connect them one speaker per set of jacks. (the output terminals are electrically connected inside of the amp, and are the same piece of metal (both the positives are the same, and so are the negatives).
By connecting your 2 subs in this manner, your amp will be pushing 2 ohms with the power equally divided between the two woofers.

This is the best way to hook up, and will get the most power from your amp.

Dual voice coil wiring to class d amp

The easiest way to think of wiring voice coils and subs is this:
  • Two items of the same impedance in parallel = Half of the impedance
    • 4 ohms in parallel with 4 ohms = 2 ohms
    • 8 ohms in parallel with 8 ohms = 4 ohms
  • Two items of the same impedance in series = Double the impedance
    • 4 ohms in series with 4 ohms = 8 ohms
    • 8 ohms in series with 8 ohms = 16 ohms
In this case, you want to wire two subs, each with dual 4 ohms voice coils, so that the total equals 2 ohms. Your options are:
  • DVCs in parallel, 2 subs in series = 4 ohms
  • DVCs in series, 2 subs in parallel = 4 ohms
  • DVCs in parallel, 1 sub = 2 ohms
With two, dual 4 ohm subs, you can only have 1 ohm or 4 ohm total impedance.
