Sony vaio pg-6h1m over heating

Have you cleaned the fan, vents, and heatsink with a Can of Compressed Air? You may have to open the Laptop to clean thoroughly using Compressed Air and a light brush, use ESD protection as well. Improve air flow from the bottom of the laptop through to the side vents. A Laptop Cooler is a option. Hopefully you haven't done any damage to vital components due to overheating. Verify the fan is in working order and free of dust, obstructions.

Hi am using sony vpccw21fx gets turn off quite often. when i use multiple programs and it also when i open a hd video or a game on the laptop.please give me a solution

The motherboard is getting to hot, it will need to be dismantled down to the main board, you need to verify the cooling fan is working properly, next remove fan and heatsink, get a can of compressed air and clean out all clogged ports and fan, now remove old thermal paste with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel and apply fresh compound to the processor and heatsink, small amount and spread evenly then assemble.

My computer shut off by itself even though the battery was charged and the battery light kept blinking even after my computer was off. computer seems hotter than usual on bottom as well

It is probably shutting down to prevent thermal damage dut to overheating. Check that the fan is working. Even if it is, if the vents are clogged with dust the machine will not be able to cool properly. The only real remedy is to open the case, clean all the vents and fan, remove the heatsink, clean off old thermal paste and apply new paste before replacing the heatsink and putting back together.

Sony vaio pcg-frv27 turns off after a while, I'm using ac power with batteries not in it.

Most likely overheating, check if it is getting hot as it shuts off, by hot I mean hard to touch the base.
If it is, you will need to remove the bottom cover and clean out the accumulation of any dust by the heatsink

How do I reboot a Sony Vaio VGNN365E laptop, it says some registry file is missing or corrupt I haven't touched this computer in two years.

open the case, clean up some dirts...then take out RAM,place it back after a couple of minutes...then start...if nothing works, locate the cmos battery then out and place it back for 5-10 minutes after..if really nothing works, then consult a nearest technician to find the real problems with their testers

wish you luck and god bless....

I have a sony vaio vgn nr430e laptop the display goes off as soon as the cpu fan starts rotating

That could be a problem with the heatsink/fan assembly on the processor. It sounds like the processor is starting up, getting warm as they do, the fan starts up but does not cool efficiently enough and forces a shut down due to heat.
Clean out the fan assembly and replace the old heatsink compound on the processor heat sink.
Hope that helps.

Cpu fan malfunction

Hello Chris....i highly recommend you dont "pry" on anything and it have it serviced by a qualified tech. The vaio incorporates the heatsink and fan as a unit, It's a 2 wire fan that is temp. controled from 5v and up. You can take a vacuum and place at the ventilation opening and remove some of the dirt & dust that has accumulated inside, this will help. The cost is around 100 buxs for a new fan & sink...Sony part # 1-763-483-12. Attached is a pic of the unit..; Also note: a depleted battery will effect fan operation as well.
Hope this helps and will fixya up....
