Question about Compaq D51C PC Desktop
Hi. I was trying to boot from a cd but my keyboard didn't give me the chance to click any key when the message "press any key to boot from cd..." comes to my screen. The key board only works when i become inside the window.
So I tried to reset the BIOS by taking off the battery and the jumper PSWRD for some time.
Now I can't log to windows anymore. Everytime the computer starts it gives me an error message with the number 162 or 163 that says system time error.
Please i need your help as soon as possible.
Hi anyone please can u help me i want 2 reset my pc back 2 the way it was when i got it so it like new again what keys on my pc can i use to reset it thank you sam.

Hey there mat-rix, the errors reported are configuration related. You can fix this problem by downloading a reference disk from IBM ftp.pc.ibm.com Here you can get pub/refdisks/rf5060a.dsk (this is the image file), and also get pub/utils/ldf.com to write image onto a diskette. Once you get the disk prepared, boot with it, and run setup. If the errors still occur, replace your battery with a new one. and try it all over again. Good Luck!
