When this thermostat is in the HOLD position, which cancels the programmed feature, I set the temperature to 72 degrees and the furnace runs until that 72 degree temperature is obtained. Now the thermostat will not come back on until 69 degrees is displayed on the thermostat. I have tried other temperature settings and it continues that 3 or even 4 degree separation. Shouldn't this thermostat cycle within plus or minus 1 degree? What is wrong here? P.S. Thermostat is brand new.

If you still have the instructions for the thermostat, then it will show you how to get into the menu and set the swing on the temps. I would try to explain off the top of my head, but its actually quite a bit off numbers to remember. Hope it helps somehow.

How do set temperature target. Its set at 68 now and cannot change it. We just moved in and have no instructions

To set the temperature and by pass the program feature press "HOLD" This feature is alternate action each time you press it changes from on or off, off to on.

This will make your 3M-22 act like a non-progammable thermostat. It will hold the target temperature you set indefinitely, until you turn HOLD off. Take care using the HOLD function as the program is now bypassed. To set a hold target temperature, press HOLD and use the +/- buttons to select your hold temperature. The HOLD icon will display on the HOME screen indicating you have changed the Target Temperature. The system will HOLD this temperature until you return to the manual screen. To turn off hold press HOLD again. HOLD is also canceled when you set the mode to OFF.

These things are like the old VHS tapes to program.

Hope this has helped?

The fan relay is stuck in the on position. When the temperature drops the heater does not ignite because the fan is already running and ignition is locked out after the heat cycle starts an the fan turns on

Trying to set temp on honeywell t-stat

I believe what your experiencing is the 75 degrees is the hold temp position...the display then reverts back to the actual room temperature...it doesn't mean the set temperature changed back to 65 degrees. Try to reprogram the thermostat schedules, and try not to use the hold function...just the temporary hold. (which is bumping the programmed temperature up or down until the next programmed period)

Hi. I am just wanting to control the heat the manual way. I had someone come in to service my furnace and they set it for the week. How do I cancel that, and just have it so I can turn it up when I want,...

From the Operating Manual: _______________Manual Operation for Non-Programmable Thermostats Press the SYSTEM button to select Heat or Cool and use the [Up] or [Down] buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting. After selecting your desired settings you can also press the SYSTEM button to select AUTO to allow the thermostat to automatically change between Heat and Cool. _______________________Manual Operation (Bypassing the Program) Programmable Thermostats Press the [Up] or [Down] buttons and adjust the temperature wherever you like. Then press HOLD. This will override the program. The HOLD feature bypasses the program and allows you to adjust the temperature manually, as needed. Whatever temperature you set in HOLD will be maintained 24 hours a day, until you manually change the temperature or press RUN to cancel HOLD and resume the programmed schedule. ____________________________________________________ *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. The heater will not kick on. It's a programable 7 day that reads 69 degrees and if I arrow up to 72 degrees, nothing happens

Change Temperature Setting Until the Next Program Period (Temporary Change)
? Press UP Arrow or DOWN Arrow until the screen shows the desired temperature setting.
NOTE: The temporary temperature setting is displayed for about 3 seconds and then the room temperature is displayed.
Temporary appears in the display. The setting cancels when the next program period starts or when
you press RUN PROGRAM.

Change Temperature Setting Indefinitely (Hold)
? Move the System switch to the desired position (Heat or Cool).
? Press HOLD TEMP then UP Arrow or Down Arrow to change your setting if desired. (The display changes from showing the setpoint
temperature to room temperature after approximately three seconds).
? To cancel Hold press RUN PROGRAM.

The downloadable manuals for this t-stat are here, and the addendum, here. Page 17 and 18 detail thermostat operation I have copied above. It has graphic representations of keys that do not copy over very well, so if you have questions about the steps above, you should view the manual in the links provided above.

I hope this helps! Please take a moment to rate my reply - thanks!

Sounds like you have a problem with the furnace try turning the power off to the furnace and then turn it back on to see if this will get it to run. If it has a sight hole in the bottom door look to see if there is a flash code. then take off door and see what the flash code represents as the problem.
