The sensor would help it detect vibration and go back to settle mode and restart the spin.
If you have abnormal vibration all the time be certain
1st that machine is really level. can you push or pull the machine when it vibrating and does that stop most of the noise. if so it is not really level.

then open the top (3 screws in top rear)

remove power to unit as you want to live.
Check the suspension and springs they should act like your car.
look, feel, nothing should be loose or disconnected.
the concrete balances should not be loose or cracked.
push on the basket it should resist in all directions.

Code f 24 washer wil not start

The "F24" fault code indicates a water temperature sensor error. The temperature sensor could be faulty; the wire connection may have vibrated loose or off the sensor or a possible heater or control board failure. I would begin by

disconnecting the power cord from the power source

and remove the rear panel from the back of the washer. The temperature sensor (key#24) is located at the bottom of the back of the tub. I added an image below to reference the location and a temperature sensor chart. If you do not find the sensor wires disconnected, disconnect the wires and you will need an Ohm meter to measure the resistance of the sensor. At 86 degrees or room temperature, the sensor should measure approximately 9.7K Ohms. Disregard the information in the image about the heating element; your specific model does not have a heating element to heat water. The water temperature is dependent on the temperature of the hot water entering the washer.

NOTE: Be sure the washer is empty of water before removing the sensor.

If you find the temperature sensor faulty; the

temperature sensor for model WFW8410SW01 washer is part #8181705

which can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.

1. I need a service manual 2. how do you raise the water level of the machine

The water level sensor is a pressure switch and there is setting to which as the water gathers into the TUB the pressure exerted on the diaprgram within the pressure switch will correspond and determine the point of switching. So to increase the level within ( make sure that the switch is working as a damaged pressure switch will REQUIRE more water pressure to switch -- faulty diaphragm.)
To increase the level you can set the diaphragm controller to a higer setting-- this provision is seen on most pressure switches so that a higher pressure is needed to switch on thereby the water level goes higher.

I have a kenmore Elite he3t that keeps displaying DL. I was able to get it to lock by holding in the door till locked but now it just keeps beeping and cannot get door lock to engage. Repairman replaced...

I have exp. this problem before. I know of 3 causes for it.

1. The door lock is faulty. You will need to call Sears in for this. This wasn't my prob., but I got a free door lock replacment, anyway.
2. The washer shook loose a control wire to the circuit board. This can be caused by excessive vibration. You need a special type of screwdriver to open the top by removing the 2 screws in the top corners on the back. Slide the top off, push all the wires in, JIC, then put the top back on. Easy fix. I solved not having this happen by using the high spin speed instead of the extra high speed spin.
3. The control board is faulty. Call in a service man, pay $a lot, he will order the boatd, wait 2 more weeks so he can get it, let him install it, pay $a lot, use only HE detergent, or else this will happen in about another year.

The tub is spinning off balance. Yes the load is evenly distributed and the washer is level. We repaired the coupling and now hooked the washer back up it is spinning out of control banging against the...

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

If you look at the section on "Machine Base Parts" you'll see a number of springs and vibration pads.

It's possible that one or more of the springs or pads has come loose or broken.

In order to get to them you have to remove the cabinet.

Here is a description of how to do it.

Also see the Whirlpool Service Manual for top load washers. It has a troubleshooting section that describes the reasons for excessive walking or vibration.

The plastic cup and brass pin are simply shipping tub locks. The pins are designed to brake off and fall into the cups when the washer is installed. They are NOT a problem.

LG front leader washing machine;high pitch vibration during spin, the house is vibrating with it, we can feel it at the other end of the house, any fix?

You can buy rubber pads at the home center that damper the vibrations.
The high pitch noise could be an object stuck between tubs.

My LG front loading Washer 1.5 yrs old

They told you right. This problem has to be done by a service tech. If you are sure it is level and all feet are touching the floor when it vibrates it is an internal problem.

Bad vibration

First, see the Sears parts site and diagrams for your washer:!retrieve.pd?pop=true&modelNumber=110.92580100

It's possible that one or more of the springs or pads has come loose or broken.

If it's not the springs or pads, you may consider that the "Agitator Cams" in the transmission are not raising the Agitator Gear high enough (about 1/16" ) when the washer goes into spin mode.

See the description of what the Cams do in the Service Manual.

We had the same problem, excessive vibration and noise during the spin cycle.

In order to solve that problem, :

Assuming that you know how to remove the cabinet, agitator (you don't need to remove the tub), pump, motor and transmission the agitator cam and follower use the same whirlpool part number 62580/01. This is a plastic set used to raise the agitate gear on the shaft.

Pull the transmission.

Remove the clutch (the spring holding the clutch to the spin pinion is a bear to replace.

Remove the 8 transmission screws carefully, the transmission is full (15 oz.) of 80-90 weight oil.

Remove the transmission cover.

Pull off the spin pinion.

Push down on the agitate spring and remove the spring clip. Note where is attaches to the main shaft.

The two plastic agitate cam parts pull right off. Don't lose the washer on top of the cams.

Replace the cams, washer, spring and clip, pinion, oil (assuming you drained the oil first), cover and clutch parts.

Line up the transmission so that the release cam on the brake drum will snap onto the clutch spring retaining clip and put all parts back in the washer.

The basic tools are screwdriver, small socket set with up to a 1/2" socket, vice grips or good pliers (to remove and replace clips)

It sounds a bit complicated but it really isn't too bad and (For a $15 part, saved buying a $170 transmission.)

Following is the Whirlpool parts list for their commercial washers although the consumer models use the same part numbers.

Washing machine has a seizure during the spin cycle.

Try leveling the washer so that it is about half a bubble biased towards the rear. This usually helps front loading washers balance properly even if the installation instructions say that it should be perfectly level. This can also aid draining problems.
Also, some newer front loading washing machines are simply prone to dramatic vibration even when they is "anti-vibration" or "vibration reduction" systems. You can never go wrong installing an anti-vibration pad under the washer. Good Vibrations Inc, Kellett Enterprises and The Vibration Solution all have good products. The Vibration Solution seems to have figured out the best solution and offers excellent support and return policies.

If all else fails call the retailer and ask for an exchange.

a few things affect the vibration on that machine first leveling u can level it by pulling the control console towards you and its reset the back feet, second there is a common spring that breaks in the back hooked from the back of the tub to the back panel of the machine base check for that, then there are also suspension pads under the suspension plate small brown plastic pieces three of them right left and rear if one or more is missing there will be a baad vibration hope it helps worste case scenario you might need a new machine base at that point i would buy a new one
