Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
I have an Acer 3000 notebook. It's a little over a year old now and the screen flickers. It also...i would say goes dim but that isn't quite it. More like turns everything pale white/grey. I can still see what's on the display but the colors are washed out. Also when ever i move the screen itself to adjust the angel of it it flickers and shoots lines horizontally across the screen that is almost like static. The problem started very recently. Any suggestions?

This is most likely either a.) the connection to the LCD is falling out or b.) the screen itself is going bad.
If you feel comfortable to tackle this job you can buy the LCD to replace:
New LCD Screen:
Be sure to double check with the company to make sure that this screen will work with your notebook.
If you computer is still under warranty or maybe you purchased an extended warranty the manufacturer might cover replacement of the LCD.
hope that helps!
