I just took the set apart and found that the sub supply was the problem so i ordered one on ebay and replaced it myself. It was very simple. This set has a power and sub power supply so I just switched them both out since I had it opened...

VIZIO M801d-A3 No picture, no sound, passes flashlight test. Picture and sound went out a few times and then back on in days before total failure. What do you suggest for repair?

Main board controls the audio. Measure the different voltages produced by the power supply board to see if they all are present and within specs.

Your drive is failing and you should back up any important data you need onto CD/DVD or an external USB device (hard drive/pen drive). The drive may keep working for a while but your system is warning you that it has detected a critical error with the drive and failure is imminent.

We just moved the tv into our new home, when we plugged it in and turned it on nothing happens.. no picture or sound, the timer/standby red light blinks 11 times then nothing. We have tried powering it on...

Well I think what has happened is that the move has caused a failure, it well may have been bumped or jostled, these units are VERY delicate, and should NEVER be moved without using the protective crating, they came that no-one keeps, for any transport, (It is absolutely imperative that you keep your packaging these days as it should NEVER ever be moved without putting it back into that packaging for travel) they really do NOT travel well at all. This what you describe is a classic situation, we see it all the time in my shop. You have little option but to get a "Quote" for a repair. this is indeed unfortunate, but all too common from "shifted" item. Especially TV's.

The fault may be on the control board. Sometimes the button switches can be stuck, or there may be something causing some conduction on the control circuit board. It is also possible to have a component failure that is causing a continuous command to keep the volume to the high position.

Something that causes failures of controls in TV sets is when people clean the screen, they spray liquid cleaner on the screen. Some of it drips down in to the controls and on to the circuit board. This will usually cause damage, and thus the set will require shop service.

Sony Wega KF50WE610

5 red blinks = lamp driver or ballast failure.
we610 part # = 1-468-798-14

replacement is straightforward when you unplug the set and open the back up. remove the metal support bracket to expose the ballast. make sure to keep all wires routed as you found them.

Monitor show picture for a few seconds, then turns black

It sounds like the power supply board on your monitor is failing. If it's still under warranty you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer - if not, you might be able to have it repaired at a computer or TV repair shop.
