The other day i knocked my ps2 over. The power comes on fine and the disk tray opens. HOWEVER there is a problom with My av multi out. When pluged in to my tv it shows the transision to the ps2s main menu. The problom is the menu will not show up so the screen stays blank. NOTE: I HAVE TRIED OTHER TVS AND OTHER WIRES FOR THE AV MULTI OUT AND NO RESULTS SO FAR! I AM CAPABLE OF TAKEING MY PS2 APART. ALSO IF YOU HAVE NO ANSWER DONT POST SOME THING LIKE "IDK JUST GET IT FIXED" ID RATHER FIX IT NOW FOR FREE THEN PAY FOR IT.
Notes2:My ps2 is a ps2 fat and is the one with 10 screws also there is no warrenty left of the ps2

try holding the disk drive after it closes for a few seconds and see if it stays closed or one of the drives gears could be stuck,loose,or broken.you might need to open it up.

if the ribbon cable that goes to the lens came out its gota go back it. has a plastic tab on the top that lifts up and down to lock it in place....
If its the eject/reset button the ribbon might not be in all the way

Well I used to have this problem. To fix it, I would take the TV/Video IN plug out of the back of the console. Then I would put it back in, and I would have sound and video. I've also been able to just wiggle it while it is still in the console, and that would sometimes work too.
