unless some thing inside the washer is broken i would say the drum bearings have started to wear out badly,,,my washer will easly take 3 king size bed sheets and covers,,,that not a lot realy,,,how old is your unit? and how many washes has it done,,,years old and 1000's of washes?
Hello, I have the same issue with a machine now 5.5 years old. At lower drum rotating speeds, a loud clicking (almost stripping sound) is heard. I have only inspected from the lower front cover and found nothing. Will also look in the back for clues...
My washing machine will not spin and in fact turn around at all, i did a wash earlier and it was making a funny noise...like some thing was caught in the drum. It is about 3 years old....It does still fill with water thou!
How old is the machine? There are glides that the drum turns on that may be bad rather than a bearing! How old is the machine? if it's 9 years old or more.Do not put good money into bad! A new machine will save you a lot of money on energy. Enough to pay for it self in only a few years!
Scott, the pulley should be tight, no play, Check to see if one of spokes are cracked on the pulley. I do believe that you have a 5 year warranty on the bearings on this machine, parts only. It's a huge job to replace the bearings on this model. Give Sears a call to see if they will cover the parts. You will need the rear tub and bearing kit...Good luck
