Re: Ink Cartridges

You should be able to open the printer below the scanner. The printhead should move to the center of the printer. Then you open the clips holding the cartridges and remove the old. Replacement cartridges click into the same slots. Then you secure the clips and close the printer.

Can u help me with resetting my Lexmark x7350? i revilled my cartridges, and now the printer says my color cardridge is allmost empty. Thank you!

Once the Lexmark cartridge is refilled, it can no longer report it's ink level. ). You should be aware that a refilled cartridge will not be able to report its ink level, and you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark to pass through microscopic nozzles at extremely high temperatures.

Need to know how to install ink cartridges

Perhaps the Lexmark X7350 User's Guide will be able to help you. Just click on the link to download: Scroll to Maintaining the printer, Page 70, for the instructions on how to install the ink cartridges.
In some cases, the ink cartridge carrier won't position itself in the middle even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the white tape in the middle inside the printer. The other end of it is connected to the carrier. Gently slide the carrier to the center. Load the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source.
Thank you for choosing Lexmark.

I ordered Lexmark 32 & 33 ink cartridges off ebay (but they are not 'genuine'). I'm getting an error message #1203 - 'Consult your user's guide'. Does my Lexmark X7350 only accept Lexmark brand...

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

What kind of ink does it take....cant find the x7350 anywhere on the online there another model that takes same cartridges

Okay will have and does sale the ink for this printer as I checked this uses the 7000 series ink. I have done the homework on this for you now also what you can do is this pop out one of the cartridges take it ot a office depo and they will match the numbers on this. there is no need to worry this is a very nice printer and you will find the ink for it. Please use only manufacture ink and not refills you will reduce the lifespan of this by doing so.

Thanks and please do rate postive on your free solution today!

Refilled cartridge , printer says right cartridge incorrect

Lexmark builds intelligence into their cartridges and printers to prevent the use of refilled cartridges.

Lexmark has never approved the use of anyone else's ink for their printers primarily because there is no way to prove the quality of the ink.

Please purchase a Lexmark cartridge.

Lexmark X7350 just quit

Hmm, that's a generic problem for Canon printers too. It can be a symptom of a burned out printhead. Remove the ink cartridges (and the print head if it is a separate unit). Look for evidence of burned/melted circuit traces. This is obvious on some Canon printheads; not so easy to see on the HP ink cartridges with built-in printheads. Either way, you should know that many printers are designed to "zap" the printheads with a high current pulse that gradually destroys the printhead circuitry. This is to keep you coming back for more (and prevent you from endlessly refilling those cartridges with built-in printheads).

Lexark X7350

If the contacts are different, then you may have bought a damaged cartridge, or just simply the wrong cartridge and this would explain why your printer cannot recognise the cartridge. Make sure you bought the same number Lexmark cartridge as the old one. Return it to the store as a damaged cartridge if it is the exact same cartridge. Lexmark would not change the design of a working cartridge to exclude customers from using a printer.

Incorrect ink level reading

kiwipom, While ink cartridges look like plastic cups that only hold ink...they are not. The information the printer needs to think it has a "NEW" set of ink cartridges is on the cartridge itself. You must fakeout the printer to believe you are inserting "new lexmark" inks. Printer companies make money from the repeated sale of the ink, not the printer itself. I had an old epson that I would refill I would then have to place pieces of tape on the cartridge turn the printer on, remove the cartridge move the tape to another side of the cartridge turn on again etc. Anyway lexmark may need the same. When the new original cartridges show try them first to get the printer "thinking" correctly. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
