Question about ASUS WL-500W Router (WL500W)
My Laptop can log onto the Router by Wireless. but can not brouse Internet. All other PCs are connected by LAN and can brouse without a problem.
If you go to control panel, then to internet options, on the connections tab, click the LAN settings button. Make sure there aren't any boxes checked, then hit OK, and hit OK again to get out of there.
If your connection is still not working, go to Network Connections in control panel. Right-click your wireless connection and go to properties. There will be a list of items with checked boxes. Scroll down to the Internet Protocol(tcp/ip). Click it one time to highlight it, then click the properties button. Make sure your settings are Obtain IP address automatically. And Obtain DNS server address automatically.
You should be working. If not, let me know.

At the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you have a wireless connection icon. right click and view available wireless network...if you see your network there. connect to that network, if secured, then call d-link to verfiy what is your network key. if it is unsecure then you can log on right away.
if that wont allow you to connect then upgrade firmware of router.
