Hose hookups My Bosch SHU43 dishwasher has no manuals. My problem is that I have one long hose that should be the discharge hose but no fitting to hook it to my disposal nipple. My other problem is there is another hose that exits the dishwasher about mid level but does not hook to anything. Should this hook to the supply?

The smaller hose should be 3/8" is the water feed the larger hose is the discharge. you can open the front panel (2 torks screws) and you will see the water inlet valve in the left towards the center the electrial box is on the far right ten determine which hose you have for the fill under the sink...You will need a disposal or a tee off the plumbing to connect the discharge hose and a 3/8" off the HOT side of you sink plumbing to connect it Let me know what you find

My Bosch dishwasher keeps back filling from the sink or garburator.. Is there a p-trap in it?

there is a p - trap sort of, your drain hose is meant to work as one, when properly installed the hose will have a hole drilled for it to come ththat is slightly higher than the drain of the sink

There are soap suds still in the dishwasher when the cycle is complete, even though I did use the rinse agent.

You have a hose discharge problem,
If you are connected to a sink outlet , undo it & make sure it`s clear , check your out hose for kinks, make sure fillter is clear, try a rince to see if it clears your suds.
all the best.

Water remaining in bottom after cycle

Disconnect the drain hose at the sink drain. Reverse the action of your vacuum so that it blows (or use an air compressor if you have access to one), and blow the hose clean--it should discharge any drain hose contents into the washer cavity and hopefully cause faster draining in the future.

Dishawasher won't drain, sounds like a stuck garbage disposal

check for a kink in the discharge hose. Also, the hose must go up higher than the top of the dishwasher, then descend to the drain. Otherwise the waste water will flow back into the tub by siphon action.

Water overflows from dishwasher during wash cycle

Food or debris could be blocking the drain line before the water pump or after. So unplug the unit or cut the power to it then begin working on the washer. You will need a pliers or medium size channel locks to take the hose clamps off. Make sure the line is clear from the unit to the water pump. Then check the pump over carefully. Then the line from to the discharge area. This should solve the problem.

Bosch dishwasher cleans but will not drain.

Remove the drain hose where it attaches to the disposal. This area often clogs and will prevent any d/w from draining.

Our dishwasher is leaving a film on everything

Disconnect the water line to dishwasher.this may be messy.connect it to a garden hose. the hose must be new . after connecting take the other end of the hose and pour CLR solution in it using a funnel.get at least half a gallon in the hose. raise the hose as needed so all the solution will fit .pinch the hose so the CLR doesnt leak out.connect hose to faucet turn on water run a large load cycle.if dishwasher has two water hookups, then use clothes washer hookups.if the hose on the dish washer is smaller than the garden hose than get a reducer at a hardware store very cheap.if that dont work have your water tested for contaminants.

You cannot access the drain hose "internally" you will need to pull out the dishwasher and probably on the left side if facing underneath the drain hose will be connected with a screw clamp most likely.
