Question about Mitsubishi WD-65833 65" HDTV

1 Answer

Net Command Does not work

I have a Mitsubishi WD-65833 and I cannot get the net command to work correctly. Mitsubishi support is absolutely worthless. I can read the manual my self. I don't need someone to read it to me over the phone.

I am trying to set up net-command to control my reciever. I can get it to learn the codes of my reciever. When I turn off the TV it turns off the reciever, but I cannot get it to send any other commands to the reciever. If I could just get it to correctly send the correct input that the reciver should be sending I would be happy.

Re: Net Command Does not work

Go to net command menu click on the AVR Learn icon.
Now you can program 4 different functions (inputs) from another remote. I programed 4 different source settings from my A/V receiver. And you label each input appropiately. Such as DVD, SAT, CAB, ANT.....

Now go back to net command and just to the right of previous Learn Icon you input the name of the source you just programmed for which ever device it is currently watching.

Net command is very confusing but works great once you figure it out. Hope this helps.

Wd-65833 has black spots

This is the DLP chip failing. Contact Mitsubishi and they will provide the part but you have to pay $200 for the service call.

Channel button does not work on tv

Net Command usually means it is Mitsubishi ----are all buttons on front of set except on and off locked out or do not function?

On most of the sets made by them if this is the case hold the MENU BUTTON ON THE FRONT OF THE SET IN FOR 8 SECONDS AND RELEASE to unlock the front keyboard.

I just had this happen to my wd-65833. It is a faulty dlp chip (they call it dmd board). I called Mitsubishi and they covered the cost of the part but there is a $200 service fee for the technician, no they will not send it to you. Support Service Mitsubishi TV

I have a wd-52525 mitsubishi and it is supossed to be 720p but when I turn it on it says its 480i. What part of the tv makes it 720p or 1080p? Please help.......Thanks Paul

You will have to use component inputs for above 480i, and use the FORMAT key on your remote control unit (lower panel in center) to change to whatever you want for resolution. Be sure you have your signal input set to one of the Component inputs via Setup or Net Command (or use Devices on the remote)
