Question about Williams 2509612 Ceramic Mid-Size Heater
I can relight the pilot and heater will work for awhile then pilot goes back out. Thermistor has a safety switch inline linked to the high limit safety switch on top of heater. Any suggestions? Thermistor bad, or safety switch fluxuating?? don't know for sure.....
BY THERMISTOR, ARE YOU MEANING THERMOCOUPLE, I.E. WHAT YOUR PILOT LIGHT IS HEATING? IF SO, COULD BE WEAK AND NOT GENERATING ENOUGH VOLTAGE TO STAY OPEN, SHOULD BE BETWEEN 10-25 MILLIVOLTS DC, WHICH CAN BE TESTED AT THE INTERRUPTER LEADS. YOU CAN ALSO BYPASS THE LIMIT DISC TEMPORARILY TO SEE IF THE UNIT STAYS LIT, REPLACE IT IF THE UNIT RUNS.
