- Hitachi, 50" projection. A green only line that drops down from the top of the screen , bows more in the top-mid-left. Time to replace the two chips?

- Replaced them with the 396's, works mint.

that is a convergence fail. yes you will need to replace the 2 convergence ICs as well as any burnt resistor off the blue vertical convergence yoke. which will be a connector most likely with a blue mark on it. the convergence ICs will located on the right hand side of the chassis screwed into the 2 large heat sinks.
