Philips digital freeview receiver DTR25/20 with card slot

Box locks up {freezes} have to switch off for at least 6 minutes before I can switch on again, then just repeat over again it seems as if something gets hot and then needs to cool down before it is ok again.
No apparent sign of any excessive heat feeling the top of unit.
Remote and batterys ok, when it freezes station can be changed with manual buttons on Box but no teletext.
EW,,,,,,, any idea`s? Box is only 5 month old.

Why wont my tv tune in the digital chanels using just an Ariel, its a Grundig about 6 years old.

Unless you have built in freeview then you won't be able to receive digital channels. Sounds like that's the problem here.
You'll need to buy a separate freeview box, you can get a basic model for ~£20.

Problems withthe digital switchover and retuning my freeview box!

There are a few problems turning up as a result of the update. Do a factory settings on the box if it has the option to do so. Be aware of the actual transmitter you are on and the channels/frequencies it uses so when tuning you know whether its finding channels at the bottom, middle or top of the band. Sometimes you may need to unplug the aerial upto or after a particular channel to stop the box tuning unwanted transmitters. If you are picking more than 1 transmitter up you will often get extra channels in wrong locations

Cant get my bt vision [freeview] to come on. my box doesnot let me view freeview . on my bt vision box.

This system can only be used if you subscribe to BT Vision.
They have it configured so that Freeview only works once the box has checked your subscription.
I think this is a bit mean of BT because with their system Freeview is not free as you cannot access it without paying the monthly fee.

My Sony KD28DL10U digital TV will not tune into freeview

I think this is one of the TV's that wont work as part of the Digital Switchover as it's too old. My Brother has the same TV and has had to buy a new Set top box to get Freeview.

Philips DTR220/05 digital freeview reciever not recieving anymore

If the box is still receiving some channels, then the box is probably not at fault.

If you have done the full "First time Installation" rather than search for new channels, then eithe the aerial, connection or signal is likely to be to blame.

There have been several changes with the Freeview service over the last few months, and there will be more in the run up to analogue switch off.

In some cases, channels have moved, and in other cases the service has been switched off for a short period, low power etc.

Check the aerial on a standard analogue signal, if the quality is poor, then this rules out the box.
