Question about Dryers
My whirlpool tumbel dryer still works but gives no heat, is it the thermostat that is broken or could it be somethng else and how much will it cost to get it repaired. or could i replace it myself.
It could be the heat limiter switch which is either one or two run in series little button looking things near the element on the back, usually under a bowed out cover. Also check the resistance on the heating element after you have pulled the wires that go to the terminals so you don't get a false reading. Other than that it gets into checking contacts on the timer itself and that gets a little lengthy in discussing. Hope that helps.
