I have a LiteBird PJ875 and when I turn on the unit the Power/Sandby light just keeps flashing and the lamp does not turn on so I replaced but the lamp still not turning on.
If you haven't tried it already, unplug the unit, hold down the power button for 15 seconds, release, then wait about a half hour and try plugging the machine in and powering up again. This may reset the memory and enable your projector to start up normally.

projectors get a resistance reading from the bulb and if it doesnt get right value it will give you the double red lights
only other thing it could be is if the fans in projector are not turning on
call viewsonic and tell them issue and make them resolve issue
or
if unit is only 2 weeks old bring it back to store and get replacement or call viewsonic and get them to send you replacement unit - it is too new to mess with it yourself and take chance on voiding warranty
If totally dead look at the circuit board at parts after on/off switch. Is there a fuse in one of those immediate lines? Is it open (happens for no reason at times)? And the diodes - any cracked or burnt? Nothing is working so it has to be something all these items have in common.
See if you can get a hold of a schematic for unit from manufacturer. Or get a service manual through Google.

I have the same problem as posted too, ordered 3 new lamps and they all still do the same thing. I`m starting to think its the projector that has a problem. Anyone got a solution other then keep buying new lamps and try getting it to work... I mean, after 3, how bad lucky can you be that they are all bad lamps...
My solution sounds dumb, I had the same issue. Took the lamp cover off the bottom. The screws were loose holding in the lamp. Maybe they heat and expand and eventually work their way out and the lamp doesn't make good contact. Just tightened mine up, the unit would power off after 45 minutes prior. Been on now for 5 hours, no trouble.
I have the same problem before. I found a replacement fan. A computer chassis fan works perfect. It should be 60mmx60mm - plenty in E-bay for about $5.00. Very easy to open the unit to replace the fan. It has 2 fans in a rubber housing. Check which one need replacement.
