I had to change my studio 9 as it is not compatible with windows vista. The problem is that the dazzle video creator 9 (DVC9) that came with studio is also not working. Is this because it is not compatibel with windows vista and if so, how can I capture my movies from my dv tapes onto my pc to make a movie? Please can you help?

Re: Pinnacle Studio 11
From the looks of it there's no Vista support yet. Pinnacle Systems needs to come out with somekind of patch soon. I've been looking for an hour as well. Couldn't find anything but people discussing the fact that they need the patch badly. On the Pinnacle site there's a link to software for Dazzle Video Creator 9 but it leads to an error page.
I guess you'll have to watch carefully when an update arrives.
Or try to find something of an automatic update feature in the software, maybe it'll find something.
You can try simpler programs such as Windows Movie Maker but I don't think it suits your needs when you want to edit stuff.

hello, my name is Adam, i am going to try and solve your problem, to do this all you need to do is start recording with your dazzle through pinnacle studio, then open up amcap, here I might be a little sketchy as I do not have the best memory, but at the top I think it sais something like capture, click on that, then at the bottom it should say like options or something, then when you click on that there should be a little drop down menu with different things such as NTSC and Secam, you want to choose the one saying Secam_B, once you have done that minimize amcap and then you should be recording in colour in pinnacle studio. Although you have to do this everytime you start recording which is the down side, need any more help? send me a message on msn, my msn is firstname.lastname@example.org
I have strong feeling that this software is incaptiable with vista maybe mite try going to the site of the maker of the software and asking if it is comptiable if not see i you can request a comptiable software that will work oh( make sure before you do you unstall it first) cause the software will crash or fight with each orther I hope this helps lala linda
in the Selected capture menu, toggle back and forth between Pinnacle file capture and dazzle to see if you can trick it into working for you. Also on vcr, toggle between tv and vcr to see that will help.
The installer for Studio 12 (upgrade version) includes a "Transfer Files" option which permits you to install previous bonus discs from Studio 10 and 11 and transfer to 12. However, you have install 12 first (of course).
For those with Vista 64bit systems, Studio 10 will not install on your Vista 64bit OS pc. However, if you have the Studio 10 disc, you can purchase the Studio 12 upgrade version. During the installment process, you will be directed on how to utilize the Studio 10 disc to advance the installation process.
