The D68 printer is almost exactly the same as the D88 unit which in turn is the same as the C84, C86, etc... so this guide will help you deal with the issue if you want to resolve it using an external waste tank rather than just getting it serviced at great expense.
Sorry to say that there's no utility for Mac computers and very unlikely to be one for quite some time. Best thing to do is swallow your pride and ask a friend with Windows XP/2000 to help you out for 5 minutes and get your printer reset that way.
The SSC utility will handle this problem in SOME of the C/D series printers but not always... If not you'll need to look for an Epson Service "adjustment utility" for your model printer and reset it using that.
Hope that helps.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
