Question about Pioneer CDJ-800 Turntable

I'm having a problem with my CDJ 800. Loading ejecting

I'm having a problem with my CDJ 800.

I eject the disk then take the disk out. Instead of the CDJ waiting for me to load a new disk, it acts like I alread loaded another disk and loads a "make believe disk", but then it recognizes that there is no disk, and ejects, then loads again, recognizes, then ejects, etc. etc. I hope that makes sense.

I know I have to take it to get serviced, I just want to know how F-ed I am.

Thanks for the responses.

Pioneer 800 mk1 eject disc when powers on

Well, the optical pickup is not able to read the disk. First off, did you use ESD protection when you installed it? If not, it may already be damaged. For more information, or should you have further questions, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me directly through the website. Thank you.

For the record I own a pair of CDJ 400's. This is an odd problem as I could only really think of one problem. It may be extremely dusty inside to the point where it is not allowing the spinning of the discs. Try your best to also see if something was jammed in there or if anything at all is stuck. Your going to need to do a bit of cleaning in there and that's honestly my best advice, good luck!

Your CD tray is damaged, or the loading mechanism/motor is damaged - or both. Unfortunately, not an easy fix. You'll need to take it to a service center for repair.
