Question about Epson Stylus CX6600 All-In-One InkJet Printer

2 Answers

No ink coming from cartridges.

During printing, the printer goes through all the correct functions including the pop-up window with the ink levels [NB Cartridges indicated as being half full or just over] in the cartridges, etc. It then goes through all the printing process including the message at the end announcing that printing is completed. Only trouble is the paper is blank. There is absolutely nothing on it. i have done printer checks and have cleaned the nozzles but only blue ink appears an a line at that.

Printer functions and display messages perform normal, but no ink prints on the paper. Cleaned the heads, changed the ink cartridges and hoped for the best. It did not work.

I have done everything recommended and I still have blank pages coming out of this printer. I have gone through a whole set of ink cartridges trying to just clean it. I am very dissapointed and will never recommend this printer to anyone. No one seems to know how to fix it.

The printer is about 2 years old. It started with Magenta running out. I changed the cartridge and I got horizontal lines. After nozzle and head cleaning it was worse to the point of blank pages. Changed the ink (which costs almost as much as the machine) and still blank pages. I notice there haven't been any solutions. My repair guy says just to look at it would cost as much as buying a new one. I have always felt cheated paying for the ink. Now my bad feelings are simply paired with Epson. I had been very happy with my previous Epson printer (Stylus Color 600), but this experience has convinced me to consider other companies. My "all-in-one" has become an expensive scanner that takes up too much room.

Printer won't print color anymore. Just stopped. Put new ink in as well as cleaned printer head 6 times at least to no avail.

Seems like a lot of people are all of a sudden having these problems. I have had this printer for 4 years I think and no problems at all. Phone support says to clean the heads 3 times and then they give up. By the way, there is no tape to remove from authentic ink cartridges for this printer. The cartridge holder pops a hole in the film. You cant pull that cover off, it is popped when inserted.

My x7550 wont print pictures.....says its printing and ink level goes down, but photo paper comes out blank

It could be that your cartridges need some cleaning. From the printer operator panel, scroll to the Maintenance menu and select Clean Cartridges. Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridges nozzles and clean them.
After doing the clean cartridge function, try to print another photo to determine if the problem is fixed.
Hope this helps.

Cannot print

Change the cartridge ...

but, in case E3

I have workaround for the empty tank issue:
- buy or borrow another not empty tank
- place it in
- start the printer
- it recognises the "new" tank
- turn off the printer
- put back the old, empty, but refilled tank
- turn on the printer
- print something
- it will pop up a dialogue window saying
"The ink level of the black/color tank cannot be
determined. The ink level determining function will be
disabled for the black/color tank.
If you want to continue printing without this function
press the Start button on the printer."
- Press the Start button on the printer and ignore the
button 'Cancel Printing' appearing on the dialogue window.
- The dialog window disappears.

You can print your refilled tank as many times you want from this time.

When you go to 'Printers /Canon /Properties /Maintenance / Printer Status / Ink Information' it says that the ink level measuring function has been disabled for: black [40] / color[41]. You can ignore this this message, the printer will work perfectly without this stupid function.

Full refill ink cartridge, but full level is empty

There is no way to reset the ink levels on this type of cartridge. As long as your printer still prints the cartridge is functioning properly. You should be able to check a box that says "ignore ink levels" when your computer pops up the box saying your cartridges are empty. Print until the ink runs out.

How do I clean the ink cartridges? I have new ink

Start the automatic clean function. Using the menu function and arrow keys again, locate “Clean the Print Cartridges” on the LCD screen
Wait while the function cleans the cartridge. The carriage that holds the cartridge will move during the cleaning.
Start the second level of cleaning.Click your “OK” button.
As long as the test page is clean, you can cancel out of the cleaning function and begin sending print jobs to the printer again...

HP C6280 Error: Ink Cartridges Empty

I want to print in black only and have changed the properties to grayscale, but it still won't let me print in black only. The magenta is out and it says I must replace, but i don't want color! help!

Printer goes throught the motions of printing, but what comes out is a clean page - no ink

Some of them do. Try going into the printer properties and disabling bi-directional support. This will not allow the printer to check. HP has set some printers to not function if its disabled, but hopefully yours is not one of them.

Ink

Normally when you install the print software you install HP Director or solution centre software that has a estimated ink staus monitor..from user manual

Check the estimated ink levels You can easily check the ink supply level to determine how soon you might need to replace a print cartridge. The ink supply level shows an estimate of the amount of ink remaining in the print cartridges. Tip You can also print a self-test report to see if your print cartridges might need to be replaced. For more information, see Print a self-test report. To check the ink levels from the HP Director (Windows) 1. In the HP Director (or HP Solution Center), click Settings, point to Print Settings, and then click Printer Toolbox. Note You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Services tab, and then click Service this device. 2. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab. The estimated ink levels for the print cartridges appear. To check the ink levels from the HP Image Zone software (Mac) 1. In the HP Director (OS 9) or HP Image Zone (OS X), choose Settings, and then choose Maintain Printer. 2. If the Select Printer dialog box appears, select your HP All-in-One, and then click Utilities. 3. From the pop-up menu, choose Ink Level. The estimated ink levels for the print cartridges appear.

Print a self-test report If you are experiencing problems with printing, print a self-test report before you replace the print cartridges. This report provides useful information on several aspects of your device, including your print cartridges.
Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the paper tray.

Press and hold the Cancel / Resume button and then press the Start Copy Color button
The HP All-in-One prints a self-test report, which might indicate the source of the printing problem.

No ink coming from cartridges.

Sounds like maybe the nozzles are clogged up. Try using the printer maintenance utility to "Clean Nozzles". I think for most Lexmark printers it is call the "Lexmark Solution Center" in your Windows Start Menu. If that doesn't work, try maybe wiping the cartridge with a damp paper towel at the place where the ink comes out.
