Question about Refrigerators
Both sides of unit is warm. There is a sound as if the compressor is coming on (for about 10 secs) and then a click. several times , but not back to back. there is some time between. I feel like it may be the overload/relay on the compressor
It sounds like your compressor is having trouble starting, and over heating. this could be one of the following

I agree with the above, but it may simply be that the compressor is faulty, and overheating even with enough freon, and thus locking up when it gets warm enough. The loud buzzing you hear is the relay trying to get the compressor to start, but most of the time it won't. When it doesn't run, the refrigerator and freezer, denied of the cooling the compressed freon supplies, warms up. Get your compressor or relays checked. Also make sure the coils are clean and free of obstructions so they can get rid of the heat they need to throw off.
