Re: Problem on o/s installation
Look in your bios & see if you can disable the ACPI, (which you should be able too do. Finish installing your OS. Than update the OS. After completing all updates re-enter your bios & enable the ACPI. You should not get that error message after re-start.
Boards that support ACPI will get this error during a fresh install untill they get windows updated. All OS's

if you have the space on a separate disk drive, I wo recommend installing Windows XP on a seperate drive than the server os and create a dull boot server. You would install the XP os as normal. When ask where to install, choose the spare drive other than where the server os is installed. This should allow Oracle to run as you need it.
Method 1 : Installed Operating system with an external usb CD or DVD Rom drive.Set your laptop to boot from USB CD ROM in your BIOS.
Method 2 : Yoou need an PC with windows server 2000/2003 with RIS (Remote Installation server Set up plus DHCP (Dynamic Host configuration protocol) server ).Change your laptop BIOS Boot setting to boot from Network and installed as if you are installing through normal procedure.

1. TS and TS licensing server are installed in the same 2003 server. The
lsview doesn’t list any TS licensing server.
2. If you open the Terminal Server Licensing, it shows “Finding servers…
Connecting to \\apps\chicagotech.net. It never finds the apps server. There
is not apps server in the network (They might remove this server from the
network). After finishing the finding, there are two activated licensing
servers listed, one is Windows 2000 server as 2000 TS licensing server and
another one is Windows 2003 (also TS) as 2003 TS Licensing server.
3. The 2003 TS Licensing shows they are using Temporary License.
4. We modified the 2003 TS registry to point Licenseserver to itself (TS
and TS license are the same server). That fixes the logon screen slow
showing issue but not TS licensing issue.
