The DVD is spinning and spinning and making a clicking noise as it's spinning. We tried to eject it but it won't eject. It's also affecting the picture on the tv. It's causing the screen to be rippled. We can't see the "belt mechanism" when we pull down the door so we can't manually help the belt release. What next??

When a DVD won't eject, the most common problem is that the belt that operates the eject mechanism is slipping and not allowing it to eject the DVD. This can be fixed by either using a re-grip solution on the belt or having the belt replaced. With the cover off (be careful not to touch anything live with power) try to find the motor and belt which operates the DVD loading & eject mechanism. Try moving the belt pulley with your finger to give it a little help and see if it continues on with the operation. If it does, the belt is probably slipping. It takes more effort on the belt & pulley during an eject sequence rather than the a load sequence, so it may load fine but have trouble ejecting. Gravity and the weight of the DVD is why you may not have this problem during a load sequence.

www.rca4tv.com/support/faqs.asp DVD COMBO TV ... Similar to how a computer can lock-up and then you have to re-boot, TVs sometimes have problems that you can fix by resetting, or rebooting ...
the back of the vcr/dvd player will have some rca plugs that are red, yellow, white, they will be labeled out putthe yellow is video, the red and white are left and right audio, the back of your tv should have the same thing,it should say input, get a rca cable with plugs on both ends and match the plugs to the colors,if you tv or dvd player, doesnt have these, then you will need to plug your cable box into the dvd player and run a coaxial from the dvd player and tv,use channel 3 or 4 on the dvd player and 3 or 4 on the tv
There should be a very small hole or opening on or near the DVD drawer. Straighten a small paper clip to insert in the hole. It should trip the drawer open.
Hello Check the loading motor and loading belt. If loading motor has damaged, or loding belt has broken or loose. the in-out tray mechanism won't work well.
There are two things you can try to correct this problem on your TV/DVD combo unit:
If you're using the remote control, press the DVD/TV button first to make sure the remote control is in TV mode.
If you're trying to use the buttons on the front of the unit, unplug the TV/DVD for two minutes, and then plug it back in. Press the ON/OFF button and try again.
Had same problem! Husband took back off tv, lots of screws, unscrewed the dvd player and turned it over. There is a white wheel, turn that slowly. It opens and closes the dvd "tray". He turned it until DVD came out. Tried another DVD but no good. Had only used the DVD once since owning tv. Won't use it again.
In the past we would not buy combo units. Won't ever again!!!!
