Generic problem for all Home Theater Systems

Hello sir I want to assemble a home theater.for that i searched net & i got circuit diagram from link http://www.scribd.com/doc/40730/51-CHANNEL-AMPLIFIER which is class d power amplifier. i want to know is it correct & can i directly connect 5 simple driver speakers & a subwoofer.
The Home theater i have at home uses satellite speakers.In speakers it uses one satellite speaker of 3" & a shielded subwoofer of 5.25".In all each speaker provides frequency range of 38Hz to 20Khz.
Doubts
1) What is a satellite speaker? How it works?Since no direct input through wire is applied.
2)how input is given to satellite speakers?
3)Can I use speakers with 8" woofer & piezoelectric tweeter.
Please solve my doubts as soon as possible i will be very thankfull to you.
