We purchased the above unit and while it will play a dvd, it does not have any sound in any mode. We have checked and double checked the connections and are sure we have it hooked up properly, but no sound.

Thanks Joe, we sort of came to that same conclusion after playing with it and reading both manuals for tv and theater.
I have the same problem.

i have a spectoniq model pht-300x the problem i am having is that background sound is fine but when people are talking it is like on mute when i adjust the language you can hear everything french Spanish, Chinese but no English.
any help thanks.
