Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Bendix WD 1054 R Front loader fails to pump out water sometimes

When the washing machine finishes it's wash cycle the clothes are still wet.

When I open the filter all the water from the load empties. I have checked the pipes from the bottom of the bowl to the filter and from the filter to the pump and from the pump out and there are no blockages.

When the unit settles for a while and the spin cycle is re-done the pump starts and pumps out all the water that has drained to the bottom.

I am suspecting that there is a problem with device that goes off to the side just below the bowl - rather than the pump. I assume that this is a switch that uses suction or some other means to send a signal to the pump to work.

Can you please suggest what the issue is, whether parts are required (and part number if possible) or if some maintenance can fix the problem.

Pretty sure that the pump is the problem here. Could be something that blocks the pump, or the pump is just bad.

I have a WSXH208 ge front loader It started to fill was and then in the middle the water pumped out but did not finish and clothes were sopping wet, Drum stopped spinning. what could be wrong

all front loaders will not go into high spped spin if there is water in the tub.You should first remove the bottom panel and check the water pump for blockage. Some units have a sscrew style filter to catch debris befor it enters the pump impellor.when you unscrew the filter make sure you have a wet vac handy.

I have an LG front loader - model WD - 804 90TP and the machine is working but it gets down to 6 mins to run the spin cycle and then goes up to 14 mins and then back down again and carries on in that cycle...

You need to check the inlet valve for good flow of the water as a SLOW water pressure can increase the timing for rinse and spin.
Similarily the DRAIN pump/valve must be checked as if this is clogged then the drain flow will be LOW and the timing will extend for full drain. Remove and clean the drain pump and it can be the reason that the clothes are still wet.
Finally check on the controller for the proper timing of the cycle.

The door is jammed on my LG Intellowasher WD-1023C-Washing Machine - Front loader. It has finished it's wash cycle, but the door won't open

Slide a paint scraper or similar between the machine and the latch side and push it quite hard and it should open. Mine does and I found the fix on this site!

My bendix washing machine door does not open after wash cycle ha finished

  1. Is there still water in the machine when the wash cycle has finished? If so, the door doesn't open because there is still water in the machine. Try clearing the filter at the bottom of the machine, in the front. If this doesn't work, check that the drain hoses are cleared. If it still doesn't work, try replacing the drain pump.
  2. Is the "door" light still on? You may have a faulty door lock assembly, or your control board may be faulty.

how much water is in the bottom of the tub and is it louder than normal if so could be small droplets of water leaking from tub seal if not the pump is restricted by something and req replacement

How does this machine work??

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean(ref manual). There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

It is normal for the door to release after 2 or 3 minutes, its a precaution set by the machine; do not force the door. And surely the cycle must end for you to have a nicely washed clothes. Don't try to stop front loaders inbetween, less probs for you.
