I have an Amana acf3325a gas range. the oven will not work in the bake mode. it will work in broil (hanve not tested cleaning mode). any help would be much appreciated.

Find the bake ignitor (you may need to remove bottom drawer or oven cavity floor to get to the ignitor). Turn on the bake. If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. Should be 3 - 3.6A. If less than 3A - replace ignitor. If the ignitor does not come on - check the voltage on the ignitor, should be the line voltage 110-120v AC. If there is a line voltage on the ignitor and it's not coming on - replace. Part number is 74008064.

Keep in mind, ignitors are fragile.

Hi.

If the oven is not baking or broiling test the temperature probe sensor located inside the oven cavity. To test the sensor read impedance (Ohms) using a multimeter. If the reading is infinity, then the sensor must be replaced.

If sensor is OK, the problem is usually either broiling or baking. In that case check igniter and valve coils, the flame sensor does not fail very often.

Oven takes too long to preheat. 20 minutes to get t0 300.

3 possibilities:

1. Broil burner is cycled with bake burner during pre-heat ... make sure both burners are coming on during the pre-heat ... could be ignitor or gas valve failure on one burner ... you can check Broil mode to see if the broil burner ignites...

2. Temperature sensor bad or connections corroded ... this can signal the electronic control that the oven is hotter than it actually is...

3. Fault in the controller itself. If this seems likely we can test/repair it for you if you like.

The door latch switch has failed. Probally from the power outage. This is easy to replace and inexpensive. You can enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com for diagrams and illustrations.

oven doesn't come in broil but the broil should . the bake should in bake . but if it does work in self clean then your oven is ok and its the clock ( erc) that has failed . some times there is a code in the display stating the problem. but ist loks like a clock failure . **** ..

The oven function (broil, bake, etc) knob does not light

Open high limit or bad relay most likely.
The relays are located on the back side.
The limit I am not sure where it is stashed.

There are two igniters in your oven one for bake and one for broil. The bake igniter very likely needs to be replaced. Igniter part number is 70080764.

youve somehow had the oven enter a Sabbath mode SAB if the code

.
Sabbath mode can also be cancelled
by pressing and holding the 8 key for 3
seconds
