When you first power your computer on, you'll want to press F2 to get into the bios. If you're lucky, your bios will have the option to turn off the Automatic Restart on System Failure. It may be worded differently, but if you can turn that off, then you'll be able to see what your blue screen says.

Also, if you have your Windows XP cd (if that is your operating system), you'll want to boot up with the cd in your drive, to get to the XP Recovery Console. Run the command: chkdsk /r
(It takes about 30+mins to finish)
It will scan and repair any errors it may find on your hard drive.
