Question about LG Flatron L1710M 17" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Won't come out of "power saver mode"!! PLS HELP

So I am on ANOTHER computer with my LG Flatron L1710M 17" LCD monitor plugged in to it. My computer I usually use it on.. the other night shut down the computer as normal before bed and in the morning when I went to go on it I powered up pc and the monitor light was green then quickly msg flashed "Power Saver Mode". I hav turned on and off again and pressed different button on the keyboard and screen and nothing. But I have plugged this screen in to like I said another computer and it is working. I don't know what to do. It has done this before.. last time when I plugged into a different computer it still didn't work.. so weeks later I plugged back in and all of the sudden the computer and screen turned on as normal until the other day when it happened again.

How can I get it from immediately going in to "Power Saver Mode" before I do anything but turn computer on (when plugged in to my other computer - the one I want to use) ???

Please help!! Thanks.

i too have the same problem can any body,,, explain me clearly how get rid of such irritation

I have the same problem on a Flatron L172WT.

Works O.K. on analogue, but on DVi-I or A, it won't come out of standby when the P.C. is re-booted. Not the video card (replaced). Not the cable (replaced). I have just returned a brand new P.C to Aldi as it is DVI only (or HDMI) and I cant' use it due to this problem. LG helpdesk say it is my video card. RUBBISH!

I suspect drivers are not loaded on boot as the screen is not identified due to being offline/standby. Pulling out the video lead and re-inserting it bring up the 'new hardware found' bubble inwindows. This would need to be done evey time you powered up! I don't think so! The answer is to stop it going into power save mode, but I can't find anywhere in conig to set this.

Before anything else... just try to check or diagnose if your video card is not defective..and you try also to use another computer to connect to identify the problem...
